Do boyfriends miss their girlfriends when they are on vacation and are not able to talk?

So I'm about to go on vacation for 5 days and so I will not be able to talk to him at all because I'm going to be on family outings with my grandparents aunts uncles and cousins. (In other words, I guess you could say it's a family reunion) so do guys miss their girlfriend if they are gone for that long? Especially since my boyfriend seems to be an independent person (he is the one who always leaves the conversation) I'm just curious. And if he ends up not missing me, is that bad? I'm asking both guys and girls because guy do you miss your girlfriend when she can't talk to you for almost a week or if she did, would you miss her? And girls, if you have went on vacation before for a while and weren't able to talk to your boyfriend at all, what was your boyfriends reaction when you came back and texted them. I am in a long distance relationship with him too but even with the distance, we make it work (especially since we first met in person on a cruise and we talked for a week and he gave me his number on the last day and that's how it all started :) ) so again, with the factor of long distance and not able to talk to him at all for 5 days? Will he miss me? And is it bad if he doesn't end up missing me at all? Again I'm just curious. Thanks!
