When they're online but don't reply right away?

Does anyone else get annoyed or anxious by the "last seen" timestamp on WhatsApp, facebook, etc? like when you message someone, and they haven't opened your message, but it says they've been online since you've sent it? I try to understand that yes maybe the person could just be busy, or has a lot of messages from other people they're replying to. But I feel like especially if it's a person who really likes you/is interested in you, they would wanna reply to you right away. Am I wrong? What are your thoughts on it? Is the amount of time a person takes to message you an indicator of how much they like you?

It doesn't bother me. I use WhatsApp, Messenger, etc. on my pc, so it always says I'm "online" while I'm doing other things e. g. homework, gaming, etc.

I get that you feel like people would reply straight away if they are interested... When I get and see a message from someone I like, I always wait like a couple of minutes because I think it's really creepy when you send a message and they immediately come online to reply.. Maybe that's just me haha

I don't understand that too. Like, I can understand if someone is busy but when someone doesn't reply for 15 minutes and then just sends one emoji, Jesus that is just stupid

yeah. like it's different if they haven't been on their phone or the app, the thing that annoys me is if I see that they've been active online. like, ? and you still haven't replied to my message? haha

But really dont fret over such a thing. I've been more often proven wrong about that than right.

If it continues to bither u, u can try discussing it with him so u can understand why he may di that sometimes. I fifnd it is easier to forgive or forget something when u understand the reasons behinf it. And sometimes the reasons are so silly and were just being paranoid.

Just because we live glued to our phones, we can't expect other people to do the same :D

haha yeah, I totally get that and I try not to freak out. like it's different if he just haven't been on their phone - I don't panic, but if I see that he's been online but still hasn't replied It bugs me so much omg

I feel the same way here. If they don't reply to a PM and instead go on responding to anonymous questions, they obviously don't care much about what we were messaging about.

But that's ok, most people don't want any ongoing exchange on any subject on this site. They just come here out of boredom..

Don't worry about it. Some people are slow to read and respond. Some people just get busy/distracted
