Is 19 and 24 too large of an age gap?

It really depends on where you are as people. What I always question is "what does a ___ year old have in common with a ___ year old"? In this instance you're comparing a 24 year old to a 19 year old, which is not the same as if you were comparing say a 29 year old to a 24 year old (same age gap but older). I'd argue once you're over 21 age gaps become pretty much obsolete.

The thing is it becomes problematic if the 19 year old still acts as a teenager, is a dependent (lives at home, doesn't pay their own bills, etc.) while the 24 year old is independent. At that point I'd question what do they really have in common, is the 24 year old excessively immature and that's what draws them to someone that much younger? Again, it's very situation dependent.

Nope not at all, my boyfriend is 21 and I'm 25. We met 2 months after his 20th birthday. Our age gap doesn't bother us at all. Everyone has a opinion when it comes to age gap but if you don't care and the person you are dating doesn't care that's the only thing that should matter.

At the end of the day it doesn't matter especially if you are kind of in the same general category. I mean an 18yr old and a 50yr old is odd.

But an 18-19yr old with someone in mid-late 20's can even work because they are both essentially young people.

Main thing is to just be happy and enjoy the person you are with
