This guy and I have admired each other from afar on social media for a few years now. We started talking after I broke up with my last ex, it started as conversation about things going on and details about each other and similarities. We talked about hanging out after all these years. Saturday we hung out, played pool and grabbed food, it seemed to be going well, we both spent most of it laughing and conversing, nothing happened at the end other than us texting and saying we had a good time. He has told me how much he loves hearing from me, how I keep surprising him and how pretty I am. Since hanging out he was harder to talk to, I texted him and told him I get the hint. He replied with he really likes me a lot and that he has had a crush on me forever and how it sucks but he feels like he has too much going on to give the proper attention he feels is fair. I don't understand how he can say this stuff but then pretty much dissapear after hanging out but then still tell me how much he likes me. To make it worse since then he posted something with a side comment of him being single and nobody being into him (ya know... except the girl he claims to like who likes him back and is willing to just get to know him without all that pressure). Can someone make sense of this or just agree with my rational side that says "He's just not that into you".

I replied this detail in a comment but meant to add it into the details. The ghosting happened within a week of meeting *sigh* when the obvious should be quite obvious but you can't help but hold some type of hope.
