Confessing feelings over text?

My crush and I have been texting while we're away from school for summer break. I'd really like to know if he likes me back for sure, and I'm considering confessing my feelings over text. Is this a stupid idea or is it a reasonable thing to do?

you have to be sure he likes you like he his behaviour in person if he smiles at you a lot winks flirts teases. Does he initiate conversation a lot you have to know all that and i think guys are visual creatures dont ask him out on text do it in person. :)
