I think that the problem here is that you view having a girlfriend as a reward for being a good person. That's not how it works.

And it's okay, one of my brother was shy when he was younger. Now, he has lot of female friends.. And a girlfriend.
I used to be shy as well.. But now I can really go upto someone and initiate conversation. You can overcome your shyness if try to!

Just smile at her, if she smiled back... then go approach her. Initiate a conversation. Introduce yourself, give her a subtle compliment. Or talk about something else like even weather. Lol. I know it sounds silly, but these kind of topic freak her out. If she's interested, she'll respond.. with a smile. If the conversation went well. Ask her out!

There will be some women that do not like you and that's not your fault, I guess it's not what they want. Hold your head up high man and you'll meet a girl just keep at it. It's good to be open and honest about things. Be upfront right now I'm still waiting on a reply to someone on here, it was difficult to gather the courage to ask it since her profile had nothing in the about me section and I wanted to know.
