What does "tribal preference" have to do with so many people having an issue with the race aspect of it? The only thing I accept is that people can learn to accept each other regardless of what you consider to be tribal affiliations. I will always stand on the side of unity simply because I think the only future the world has is together.

Europeans evolved in Europe, where everyone who wasn't good at farming and planning far ahead, just froze to death every winter. Different evolutionary pressures led to different results. Numerous studies have come out supporting that statement. Let me make it easy for you : they are numerous dog species in the world, some with distinctive physical differences, as well as pretty notable differences when it comes to intelligence (the best example might be the border collie which is a lot smarter than your average pug).
If those statements hold true for dogs, cats and I don't know how many other species, why wouldn't humans also be comprised of mutliple different sub species with distinct genetical material? (and thus influencing a whole array of other factors like appearance and intelligence). Sub species are commonly accepted for a lot of animals, why not humans? What makes us so different? Political correctness?
Human populations have developped seperately in vastly different conditions over thousands of years. It's simply stupid to imagine that evolution didn't take its toll and that all those populations evolved to be exactly the same except for some slight skin tone differences. The differences are more profound.
