No sexual liberation allowed us to actually develop feelings for our partners instead of just choose them for the sake of the money, family, status and if they were "good breeding stock". I'm not saying some of those things aren't relevant to some people but the pressure on those elements has diminished significantly. Freedom has allowed us to pursue who we want, which hasn't resulted in the situation like you point out but according to every anthropologist's analysis and research, people of a relatively similar "status" (class, appearance, interest) will overwhelmingly end up together. The middle image is actually rather correct, at least on the female side of things, since women have time and time again been shown to be incredibly unpredictable in their choice of mate, not choosing to follow the 1-10 scale like men might and being more "type" orientated. I think in you're incredibly biased, because the truth is not how this infographic presents it, I get it, I feel very similarly in terms of men, like "why would he want me if he could go after all these hotter girls" even if he's only rather average looking but this thinking prevents us from living a fulfilling live and seeking the truth.

This is pretty stupid... I see plenty of guys who wouldn't be high on the scale dating girls, even attractive ones (such as my best friends)
The first example has never been the case, except when it comes to what social class they were in, then they went for the same.
Sure there are plenty of women only aiming for the wealthy and good looking but they're not quality women you'd even want.
I think the middle example still makes sense in our current society, far as I've seen. The last one is made by a bitter male, that's all I can say.

Of course I would want a super attractive girl, but I would be willing to settle for a girl who is below average. Most women would rather share (whether they know it or not) A hot guy than settle for an average one. Which makes the average guy miss out on a lot and the below average guy almost never finding someone.

Women can fight over the most attractive men all they want, in the end it's going to be the most attractive women that him. Reverse the genders in the last sentence, it works both ways. I think its somewhat accurate but only if we are talking about casual hookups/fwbs. However for relationships most people pair off eventually and usually with someone who is of similar attractiveness.

The downside is that most guys will get stuck with a girl who was more promiscuous than him and the guys she hooked up with were probably more attractive than he is since girls have an easier time hooking up with guys who would be out of their league for a relationship.

I don't find fault in it. Unfortunately, we're not all born as complete equals. Some have looks, and others have intelligence. Lucky ones have both. To be honest, though, a lot is up to you to become an attractive human being.
