Age gap is not relevant. Gap in interests, activities, immediate goals are important. Him being mature does not mean that he isn't fun. Make the decision on the basis of how you and him would fit together and not on the basis of age.
If you are not over the age of consent, don;t date him until you become legal. You may not plan on developing a physical relationship with him but it may happen, and he can go to prison if you are not over the age of consent.
Assuming it's legal where you live, it depends on your personal chemistry and your individual personalities and maturity levels. If you're comfortable with each other, it's perfectly fine and you shouldn't turn him down just because of his age. People's maturity levels often don't match their chronological ages.
It depends where you live, to a large extent. In the UK, it is fine if your parents are OK with it. There is nothing illegal about dating. If you are in US, I still do not think there is any law to stop you dating. After all, what is a date. Just an arrangement to meet somewhere.
What gets me is that people still jump to the conclusion you are going to have sex. Just keep it legal where you are, and make sure your parents approve. Forget the moral crusaders. There are many more things in the world that are morally bereft!

The question is do you feel attracted? Putting up numbers is meaningless. Before we started recording this nature relied on pure attraction, not bullshit cultural and legal formulas. Do you make friends based on how many days away from your birthday they were born? Anyway, we shohld measure age from conception, not birth. 2 people can be born on the same date but be conceived 2 months apart. The one conceived later would be massively underdeveloped during birth. We don't know what the guy is like so we can't answer.
I would my 17 old friend did this with a 30 old guy he used her for sex then throw her away because she wasn't mature enough for him after dating for 5 months. So I wanna say you and him have too big of a age gap to date find someone who is at least 5 years older then you or less so 23
I'm sorry hon but that's too much of a age gap. You have to figure he is moving into a time of his life where he's go to think about kids and such. So either you settle in for the long haul or you are just a fling.
Just speaking from my own perspective, but I would not have much in common with someone a decade younger. We would be in entirely different stages of life.
