Can a 15 year old girl date a 17 year old guy?

So here's my predicament. I turned 15 not even a month ago I recently got a new job. My trainer at my job is 17 and has been for about 3 months, so he would turn 18 before I turn 16. And also for the record I started liking him before I knew his age, when I started working there I thought he was 15 aswell, 16 at max. I've been told that I'm really mature for my age, and not trying to be mean but he seems a bit more immature than other guys I've met his age and even younger. Also I am a freshman and he is a junior so it's only a 2 grade gap but we both do online school so that doesn't really matter. Also he can't drive and doesn't have a car or a permit while I already have a car even though I can't drive for another year. So really the only difference between us is our age. Also for context I think I'm asexual or somewhere on that spectrum, meaning I have absolutely no interest is sex so that wouldn't be an issue for me. I was just wondering if us dating seemed acceptable, and to the guys, if he could possibly be interested in me even though I'm younger. He also knows that I think he looks 15 and he said I also look 15 so at least he doesn't think I look younger than I do. My mother would also be fine with me dating someone that much older by the way. any thoughts or opinions would be greatly appreciated. also I hope he doesn't see this cause I gave so much context that he would absolutely know it was me 😅

Because he is your trainer and also very much not near legal age in Usa. He will for sure been seen as a groomer and in the eyes of the law. Therefore no.
If you were here in England and he wasn't your trainer. Eh it would be less worse but still weird and illegal if a sexual act is involved until you turn 16. But once 16 no one would blink a eye at 16 with 18. Again in Usa they would.
Then the trainer is still problem part for most people and the eyes of the law either way.

So basically nope. Myself personally wouldn't much care since a 2 year gap to me is always something I wouldn't see a problem with unless if there is circumstances that pop up showing evidence of abuse and etc.

I've seen a girl age 17 with a boyfriend age 19, they didn't pull them in and forbid them to date so I can't see why age 15 and 17 would make a difference, however, his maturity level I hope doesn't cause a problem for you two and when I was a Senior this girl sort of liked me she was a Freshman but we never went out. I think as long no sex is involved law enforcement can't step in as long as your Mother agreed to it I could
be wrong too so it all depends.

Meh, you will always be judged and have an air of "did she get groomed" etc etc. better to just wait until you're legal sexually if you care about what others think.

It’s not so much the age, it’s the fact he is your trainer at a job.

Both need to be aware that the place you are working may not like it.

he has a position of responsibility and he runs the risk of abusing it.

You can, its your choice but I dont like having that much age difference in that special ages. Technically he would be a pedo if he turns 18 and you guys are still in but its probably his worry and I wouldn't call him that
