I’m estranged from mine, so barring the parents’ opinion that they are just a total shithead, I don’t see why not. If I like the person, then I’m sure I’ll find out the reason eventually

But yes. I don't get a long that well with my family. I see them often and can tolerate them in small amounts but if work asked me too move interstate I wouldn't hesitate.
