If a guy apologizes for falling asleep and not texting back?

I got a text from him at 5am saying sorry that he fell asleep mid text conversation. I told him I understand this morning and we’ve texted back and forth handful times more but he hasn't responded in a few hours which is fine I’m sure he’s busy but I also said I was going to my fav restaurant tonight and said if he didn’t have any plans he could join. Hopefully he text back to at least say yay or nay lol But guys do you apologize for not texting back if you like the girl? Or just do it just because? If he doesn’t respond to my invite I’m not gonna reach back out again and if he dares to respond late again this time I’ll probably ignore. Thanks!!

He likes you. I have never had a guy who wasn’t crushing on me saybhe was sorry for a late response. And the fact that replying & apologizing to you was the first thing on his mind this morning means you are of great importance to him.

I mean, it depends on the girl. I usually apologize if it's really late, but if it's a few hours then I expect them to understand that I've also got things to do and stuff to focus on.

Yea no that’s fine even a few hours is ok with me. Just seeing if he likes me or not. He apologized and just now he responded he’s at work apparently but said he was getting his kids tonight but that he would if he wasn’t getting them. Just don’t want him blowing me off? But maybe I should give him benefit of the doubt?
