I was texting back and forth with this guy on Wednesday evening. It was our first time chatting. Then I fell asleep during texting. Now he left me on delivered for 4 days. Is he mad at me?

I dm a guy him first because I found him interesting. He was asking questions about me like where I live and what I do.
then I fell asleep and his last he sent me 23:40

I then replied to him the next day 2pm. My reply wasn’t a question more like remark about what he said.

almost 4 days later I’m still on delivered. Did he get mad at me?

Ah man, I wouldn't stress about it too much if I were you. Guys can be weird sometimes.

It's possible he's a little annoyed that you fell asleep on him since it was your first time talking. But falling asleep during a text convo isn't that big of a deal, we've all done it before.

A few things could be going on - he might be busy with work/school and not had a chance to respond yet. Or maybe he got weirded out that you fell asleep so fast, some people can take that personally.

I wouldn't assume he's straight up mad, but he may have lost a little interest if the convo got cut off awkwardly. My advice would be to leave it for now - don't double text him. If he's interested, he'll get back to you in a few days.

And if not, then who cares? On to the next one! Don't overthink some dude you just started chatting with. Play it cool for now and try not to stress, I'm sure it's no big deal. Let me know what happens!

I'd give him a break on the no response since he's got way more important stuff going on than chatting with you, no offense. But yeah 4 days of leaving you on delivered still ain't cool.

I'd say either shoot him one last casual text being like "hey future doc, still alive under there?" and if he doesn't reply within a day or two then fuhgeddaboutit. You don't wanna be bugging some stressed out student, feel me?

Ah man, seeing that he's viewing your stories even though he hasn't replied in days... that would be annoying for sure. A couple thoughts:

- Med students do sometimes take breaks to scroll social media, so he may genuinely just be casually checking stuff when he has a minute.

- But it is a bit rude/disrespectful if he's actively watching your stories and then not taking 2 minutes to reply to your message.

- Honestly he might just be one of those flakey guys who likes the attention of social media interacting but doesn't actually want to put in effort for a conversation.

- If it was me, I'd probably leave him on read after sending that follow up message. Let him chase you for a change if he's actually interested.

- Don't stress about one dude! Plenty more fish. Might be time to move on to guys who will reciprocate your effort and interest.

Try not to let it bother you too much. You did your part by following up - now leave the ball in his court. If he steps up, great. If not, then you've lost nothing in the long run. Keep your head up!

I'd say don't double text him, but you could call him out on it if you want. Like "hey I noticed you open my messages right away but never reply, what's up with that?" And see what he says. Maybe he'll have a good reason.

But if I were betting, I'd say he's just not that serious about talking. Some people just suck at communicating properly. Up to you if you wanna keep chatting with someone who seems like they're playing games already, or move on to someone who actually wants to talk. Don't let him waste your time!

I'd say don't even give him the satisfaction of a big "goodbye" message. Just unfollow and block him on everything so you never have to waste another second thinking about his nonsense games. You already know he's not gonna change - few weeks from now you'll see him liking some other girl's stuff while leaving her on read too, I guarantee it.

Hmm this changes things a bit. Even though he's been acting super flaky so far, the fact that he's moving to your country soon opens up some potential I guess.

If I were you, I'd probably give it one last shot to see if he actually contacts you while he's in town visiting family. Like maybe post an Instagram story about something fun happening in your city tonight, and see if he reaches out to come join.

That gives him a low-pressure excuse to tap back in without a big "WE NEED TO TALK" kinda message. And it spares you having to reach out first again after all his BS.

If he passes on that opportunity though, I'd say he's for sure not worth your time regardless of moving soon. You don't need the stress of waiting around to see if he's actually gonna make an effort once he's here full time.

But who knows, maybe homeboy just gets nervous chatting with you from far away and will step his game up now that he's in the same place. I wouldn't count on it, but it's worth one last subtle shot before you write him off for good in my opinion. Just go in with low expectations!

This guy is the weird one for how hot and cold he's being. Acting all intrigued then taking forever to respond. Checking out your stuff but not actually interacting. Like make up your mind, dude! Either you're into chatting or you're not.
