I rejected a boy who likes me and now he blocked me, is it my fault?

So, I know this guy and he’s a really nice guy. He offered to take me to the movies this summer and was there for me when I was down about my ex. However, he recently told me he liked me and tried to ask me out, but I didn’t feel the same way so I rejected him. I also rejected him because he’s friends with my ex and I would feel weird dating him. He told me it was okay, but when I went to in my messenger contacts today, I noticed he blocked me and now I feel bad. Am I wrong for what I did?

Are you wrong? No. But, this is the consequence. You rejected him, and now he's moved on. He doesn't need to have his nose rubbed in his failure. He doesn't need reminders that you found him sub-par. You metaphorically kicked him in the balls for making a romantic overture, and rejected the very idea, instead of exploring the possibility.

Let's say there was some guy you really liked in your social circle. You get along very well, and even have heart-to-heart talks over things like break-ups. So, finally, you work up the courage and you asked him out.

He replies "Ew, no; that would be just too weird. I don't think of you THAT way, plus you're a friend of my ex..." Would you still want to talk to him, as if nothing had ever happened?

just move on, he is not worth it. But at the same time I understand how he feels, he can't be friends, with you because his feelings for you. Its hard to be friends with your crush.
