Do slow replies over text indicate a lack of interest? Or do you think they don’t matter?

Depends I know some people that do it so they can appear to have a lot going on or to not seem desperate or clingy.

But if the person replies and shows interest and ask questions to keep the conversation going that's a good thing. Me personally I don't like to sit and chat forever on the phone so I might take awhile to reply back. But does that mean I don't like the person no, just that I'm not huge on texting a lot. But in person or on the phone i tend to talk a lot. Honestly it all depends on the person...

Slow meaning what? A few mins, a few hours, a few days? A few mins, no. Anything more than 1 day replying is a def lack of interest if consistently does that.

I would not think a few hours is a big deal. It depends on what he is doing, as people get busy and their schedules prevent a faster reply. But still not bad.

Honestly not sure.

I've had friends (male & female) tell me to wait so long, hours, or even days to text back (Supposed to keep them interested & waiting for your reply until you do, then they'll be more likely to reply back quickly blah blah).

It's hard to say, some guys would try and give a hint of disinterest by slow replies, some for the completely other reason.
50/50 call so I won't choose one specifically.

Depends. Is it intentional or do they legit have a reason to not reply in a timely manner.

Slow replies dont exactly convey interest.

As a person who is busy sometimes I can firmly say there no excuse for not replying in less than 12 hours.

Depends. Some people habitually text late. So for them it's not lack of interest.

I have a friend who takes hours to reply. Sometimes he doesn't even reply. So such people who are habitually late repliers can not be considered as lack of interest.

Timing of replies on text do not matter. People will read your text and reply on their own time.

It could indicate that the person is taking time to carefully plan the text or perhaps they're being slow to make it seem like they are not clingy.

Not really. Maybe they have a busy life and just don't have the time to text every couple of minutes.

Doesn't matter. Casual responding is the only benefit to texting over phone conversations.

No it doesn't, sometimes when I'm bored or I watch movies I don't reply fast.

If person is busy in another work then can understand but if avoiding then definitely lack of interest
