Men are biologically programmed to be the stronger and more dominant and assertive sex. Men aren't going to just stop approaching women, it's in their nature to do so.

Look at the stats on dating, marriage and childbirth over the last 40 years. Men have already stopped approaching women, and with witch hunts like MeToo and zero accountability for false accusations, it's going to get worse before it gets better.

This is clearly a pretty obvious and stupid question (I intend no offense to the asker), but I'll agree what many of the opinions already said.

@splashofyellow Well, it does sound like the most logical conclusion of what would happen if men stopped completely approaching women (and not only literally "street flirting"). I don't realistically think women will begin to start approaching men as a new norm, unless if there was a mass campaign to society to embrace that norm.
And "logical conclusion", by that I meant to say the position that the human race dies out.
I still don't quite understand why you think it's a stupid question. It's interesting to see what people think would happen in this hypothetical situation, and not everyone agrees with what you're saying.
Maybe I was being too harsh, but I am sticking to my opinion about it, I just don't see how the human race won't die out completely or at least be noticeably reduced in numbers to a point.
In nature the male of most species is the one to approach the female. It is technically our nature. If for some reason our sociaty want to go against our nature, I guess we'll just adapt to a new way of mating.
I know plenty of women who make the first move. Nothing would change, or we'd all have STD's.

I think most women have never experienced rejection and loneliness the same way men have. Men do the vast majority of courting ( asking them out, celebrating anniversaries, holding the conversation)
Women have probably not felt rejection the same way men have (whatever that means) but most women get rejected, and we certainly know what it feels like.
I disagree. if you send a 100 message to a 100 women on okcupid, and get zero replies back a month later that's real rejection, this is a common theme.
