Birth rate in America is 1.9, we aren't even repopulating. Your nightmare has come true. As a side note, I have no problems approaching women and reading their social cues, just experience I guess. Took some learning and trial and error, but success rate in the 80-90% rate.
Sometimes guys just need to be aggressive and go in for the prize, no risk, no reward.

I’ve been approaching men since I’m a teenager!! It’s not that scary 😁😁 just gotta be smart ! I’ve never been rejected and it feels amazing being confident enough to talk to guys.
I’ve been approached and it’s best feeling.
I personally I just act like I’m passing by the guy and they come talk to me I just present myself. I don’t have to do much but if I want to do much I can though 🤷🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️😂😂

Tbh there'd probably be even more rape cases because of the whole "well she approached me first" and "as a sex driven person I can I totally assume that she only wants to objectify my body and use me for sex" not actually just want to talk and get to know me "so of course that's why what everything we did was "consensual, because she was totally asking for what I wanted to do to her body"" Change the law and make this mentality go away and then more women will feel safe approaching men.

Nah, things adapt over time, so women would be inclined to take initiative more.
There WOULD be a huge increase in the divide between men and women and bitterness between the genders though, I think personally. And dating would be more awkward and far more difficult for both genders.

I think some women would approach men. But not enough to keep the dating world going.

I would also become lesbian because I'm not approaching a man (I know that you can't "become" lesbian. Just wanted to throw that out there if (some) people think that I honestly think this).

Several things could happen.

Women would suddenly start asking guys out - if enough guys did it.

There may be less children marriages, less children being born, etc for a few years till it became acceptable to ask a guy out.

Perhaps the government would try to intervene - tax incentives to asking women out, if it became that big an issue... who knows?

Funny this was a scenario I wondered about. If the #metoo movement keeps spiraling out of control this might become more of a reality. Decent men will become less ambitious.

I think this would force women to reevaluate and recognize the power they have with their gender. They would have a temporary relief from the unwanted attention. But it would eventually drive them nuts. However they would better understand that although their are some creeps out there, most men are well intentioned when they approach women.

Being a single guy for the last year I have had some HORRIBLE experiences approaching women in clubs and bars. One girl said “get the fuck away from me” when I tried to say hello. I've gotten that irritated “walk away creep” more than once.

I’ve decided to stick to online dating (going okay so far) and only approaching women that are introduced through friends.

And the women would increasingly become frustrated and insecure about their looks and keep wondering why they can't find a boyfriend. And of course the legendary "WHERE ARE ALL THE GOOD MEN?". 😊

Feminists will have a problem: there is nothing left to babble about. Little catholic boys will not longer want to go to church. Japan's robot industry will boost like mad.

Yes, that will happen when Hell freezes over! On the hypothetical side, this change in behavior would could happen if women were to begin approaching men and it became an accepted norm. Men will take the easy route and let women do the approaching. If men stop suddenly, women would begin doing the approaching, in time. It wouldn't be a smooth transition, but women want a guy. They would find a way to start the connection.

I hardly see a woman that would make me move and approach her out of nowhere , but I can't say how many times a girl have approached me.
Mind you, I am not the guy who refuses a girl based on looks, nope, I just don't like to keep thinking about dating every woman I see, I only need one.

I love it when women take initiative and not stick to societal stereotypes. In this age of equality that's a must.

I'm a student of human behaviour and have observed that women send subtle body language signals to men if that are interested. And men act in those cues subconsciously. So women do "approach" men first a lot of times, just not overtly.

They would take the lead, but that would mean do everything they expect men to do now, and I'm not sure they'll be ready to do that. And if they do, they'll just aim at rich hot guys, leaving the majority of us aside.
Also, there are already some part of the world where it happens, such as Sweden and Germany.
