It's a normal cultural shift that can be seen across multiple cultures, Asain women are another good example.

The awkward question is are they doing it because they can find overall better mates in whatever culture, race they are marrying into and is so can you blame them?

Personally I think that the race divide is needlessly large and that we are all human first and foremost and that that should come first.
