Is there a difference between when a guy asks you to get coffee/lunch date vs. dinner date?

Is there a difference between when a guy asks a girl out on a coffee date/lunch date and when a guy asks a girl out on a dinner date? Does one mean less than the other?

I don't think there is a real difference.
I do coffee/lunch dates because they are less pressure on both of us. It's also easier to bounce out if the whole thing just crashing and burning. "Sorry, gotta go. My hamster needs a bath."
I do these the first few dates. Then if things start to go well, I'll look at the more night time dinner date type thing.
I hate dinner and movie dates though. No one really feels comfortable eating in front of someone they are trying to get to know. You can't talk in a movie. It's an hour and half to two hours of time lost. Then you have the next 15 minutes of discussing the movie, not getting to know one another.
