Would you date someone who has a really dangerous job?

That would be terrifying, but if I really wanted to be with them I would. Ig not knowing if they're gonna come back would make me appreciate and cherish every moment with them more... I don't know, I mean a person could die any moment, we just tend to forget that most times tho... I don't know if any of this makes sense 😂😭, I have more to say but I can't really put it into words rn
Yes it makes sense! Speak yo mind girl!
Okie 👌😂, I would if I could!💀
attempt it then!
I'd rather not. Dangerous occupations are often also very time consuming and require a lot of devotion. I don't want my partner to be married to their job. I'd rather date someone like me, who only works to make a living and has their passions elsewhere.
Yep. I'd trust she'd take care of herself and do what she could to come home safe. I couldn't hold her career choices against her. Just only hope she's being safe.
I probably would if she met my dating criteria unless she was an assassin

I dated a police officer and that was very worrisome.
I used to know some "law enforcement wives" and a lot of them were in a constant state of worry.
Police officer's have jobs with death rates below those of a number of other workers, such as: loggers, commercial fishermen, airplane pilots and flight engineers, roofers, trash collectors, iron and steel workers, truck and sales drivers, farmers and ranchers, first line supervisors for construction trades, and ground maintenance workers. All these and more die at a higher rate at work, than do police officers.
Interesting, thank you for sharing. It's also a risk for family members, especially in small towns where criminals can find you easily.
Secret Asian man...
Yes. I would. I admire guys like that.
My SO is a firefighter , and I do worry about him. But i take comfort in knowing he's well trained, highly skilled at what he does , and i know his work colleagues have his back
Holy crap! He better stay safe!
And what he does is honorable.😎
@PinkMichae
Thank you ♥
He better stay alive to write that book! 💪
I’ve been threatened repeatedly going into homes as child protective services and dealing with risky behaviors and populations. I hate walking into DV situations and try to bring a guy worker with me. Never know what’s going to pop off. But I would date someone if I liked them...
Depends on how good of a man he is! If he’s a great guy I would! Dangerous jobs suck but people also pass away unexpectedly for no reason! That’s not a reason to not love or date someone! It’s just my opinion, to each their own😊
Nah I have extreme anxiety already I couldn't deal with worrying about their life all the time, but then again you can't really help who you fall in love with so if they have a dangerous job just gotta deal
This is why i couldnt date someone in the military and this is why i feared dating a cop, firefighter and scuba diver a while back
Yes to begin with but if I fell in love with them... I’d worry everyday they left for work!
Yes. If the connection was strong I wouldn't hold their dangerous job against them.
I kinda did but not nearly that bad he just risked concussions
I know window washing is a dangerous job... but what about policeman, or railroad workers, or military personnel?
Loving danger is cool but i can't spend the rest of my life with someone i am not sure if he is gonna return home tonight or no?
I'm dating a state trooper. He recently got shot after he pulled over a black guy for speeding.
Black guys are victims on multiple occasions
Nope, much more than that
There have been reports where police officers used lethal force on black men who weren't even armed.
There was a case where a 16 year old boy was shot cause he had a toy gun, and the police thought it was a real gun, they only gave him 0.6 seconds to put the gun down.
Another case was where a man was playing music in his garage, his neighbor, a old white woman called the police and he was shot 6 times. His family was given 5 dollars by the court as compensation.
He was playing it in his garage and it was barely audible outside, and even then, why did they shoot him?
And these men I'm talking about didn't even try to attack, they were cooperating with the police and they were still shot.
That's one case. And I'm not saying all black men are innocent. People can be criminals irrespective of their race. But the statistics show that many a times black men are specifically targeted.
What happened to her partner was sad and unfortunate but it doesn't mean all black guys are bad.
You're racist, that's it. I don't want to continue this discussion with someone who criminalizes an entire race.
Oh wait, you're 14. Okay, now I understand. You're not old enough to understand yet.
I'm not a racist, and I didn't say that all black people are criminals of course.
But for example, I'm Egyptian, if I dress like an Arab and go to the airport and throw a bag on the ground and run even if that bag had just books I wouldn't blame the police officers for killing me because of arabs reputation as Islamists and terrorists
Anyone would get arrested if you throw a bag in the airport and run. That isn't bound d to any one race.
We'll talk about this when you're older.
This is why I'm glad officers have started wearing cameras. It will help protect them from the public claiming they had no probable cause for using lethal force. They don't know if people are armed which is why any normal person wouldn't give them a reason to be nervous. When I get pulled over I always put my hands on the steering wheel until the officer comes up and ask for my info. I make sure he can see my hands. I don't back talk them and I definitely comply. Most people who get shot got shot because of their own actions. I'm glad the guy you're dating is alive. Many officers have been killed just trying to do their job.
Yes I agree with that but you can't ignore the fact that police brutality cases are on the rise
As long as the person I’m dating enjoys the job and has a passion for it doesn’t matter to me. At least they are making bread.
only if i had a dangerous job too then maybe it might just work
yes I am married to someone who has a very dangerous job.
I admire the hell out of those people that hang from skyscrapers to clean the windows. Fucking hell that's like all of my worst fears combined. I frequently have nightmares about tall buildings and falling. I'm scared to even go to high floors.
I wouldn't. Cause I'm afraid that they are going to die!
I would love to date a coper or firewoman even a soldier woman
I would date any woman doing any job except... cop or military.
