Is it true that all the best relationships start out as friends first?

Only if you count childhood friends, being friendszoned is a bad thing. So it can only be true if you have friends that you haven't tried to date coming into your life. Which rarely happens when you're single, because if attractive and girl friend material comes into you life why wait.
Both sides are more comfortable with each other from the beginning so it is probably best at first.
Both sides probably have things in common too.
After a while, I don't think it matters that much, considering you met some one with some hobbies/way-of-thinking like you.
Yeah. You'll have a better relationship if you were friends first.

I wish!! It never worked out that way for me!! Lost friends, that way!
Depends. All i do know is when you're friends and the relationship comes to an end it hurts on a lot of different levels
Absolutely. I also believe a good relationship includes friendship in addition to romance and such as apposed to the feeling of friendship being replaced.
No, being friends first means one of you finds the other sexually unattractive... I don't know about you but if she doesn't look at me and say "i want him" i have already lost
Yes is true. Me and my boyfriend were long friends before we got together. You know already a lot about each other.
Lettuce be real that was intentional by the way once your in the friendzone your relationship ends.
This is what I don’t understand because most women draw a line between friends and boyfriends and typically once you are in the friend category they don’t see you as boyfriend potential
When a girl friendzones you, you're done
There’s a difference between being friendzoned and starting as friends.
@clampfan101 not really, if you're her friend, you're in the friendzone, and if you're in the friendzone, you're stuck there.
