It's definitely abnormal. If you are looking for someone to who you are confident about long term, cross dressers tend not to rate high on that spectrum. It's not hate, its statistics. I hope things work out for the best.
I can't find statistics about male crossdressers, except that straight ones almost always enter into relationships with women and don't tell them. Then after they do the reveal, the women feel betrayed and leave them. I don't know that the men want to leave. I think they hope that a loving partner will accept their kink. It appears most don't. Even after longtime relationships.
That's my point. The relationships don't last and women feel like they aren't secure in their relationship. I don't mean to say that girls feel insecure about what their partner does. However they perceive stuff like that as dangerous and unstable for their relationship.
Statistics you talk of are like arseholes, everyone can have them but the closer you look at them the stinkier they become. I suspect these ones have gone like the fart that created them.
But it's not dangerous or unstable if a woman wears pants or T shirts or other male garb. So how is it dangerous for men to wear women's garb. It's different and unusual. But maybe it makes the man comfortable. It's why I live in board shorts, plus It's the gear I need to wear at work. But that's not an excuse. I like to wear shorts and Ts. Dresses are for dressup. I don't wear them on a daily basis, nor do I want to. I do a lot of outdoor work in my garden, on my house, and they're not practical.
Women are already cross-dressers, they were pants, suits, mens clothing. I sort of dont have a choice. I would love to date a woman who only wears skirts and dresses.
But you understand why we don't. Stuff shows that we don't want to show. It's nice to dress up in a dress. But dresses aren't practical. You have to sit funny ways. Get out of cars funny ways. Your legs are cold in winter. If they're long, they make it hard to walk, are heavy and get dirty from the ground. They might look femmy, but they're dollwear, not personwear. If you guys wore them, you'd understand.
I do understand the conveniences associated with men's clothing and their practicality And I don't negatively judge women who wear pants, sorry if I gave that impression.
But cross dressing is common among women 😂 just wanted to point out that women do in fact cross dress. So I don't have a problem with it
@wolfcat87 I don't find them comfy. Western garb is usually not long in length as the native costumes of say, Berber men in the desert, or native men in the pacific... sarongs. It has a lot to do with climate. In the northern hemisphere where women are rushing to work and need protection from cold, wind and flexibility, dresses are not my top choice. In pants you can sit any way you like and not have to worry about exposing yourself or having to be demure. Put every male in America in a dress that strikes above their knees and see how that works out for comfort and practicality.
I found out yesterday that my partner likes dressing in outer girls clothing ( fishnets, skirts) that type I am with then 4 years they only told me yesterday I don't know how to feel or react As we have a near 7 month old and another one due in 5 months
Not just 'cross-dressing' but role playing fun? Love when she likes to play and be more dominant!! Privately, at home, so what's the big deal? Only insecure boys can't deal with a dominating, woman, just for playing!!
I guess so. Doesn't make a difference to me I suppose. He'd need to wear my clothes though. As long as he's still willing to be my throne, I'm all good.
Pffft, this is a sick subject in here with some pretty sick dudes. NO a guy would immediately find himself in a volatile situation were he to share this with me.
i'm a masc-presenting butch lesbian, i get commonly mistaken for a guy and in terms of a preference for a partner i'm butch4butch (though i like femmes as well)
A desire to BE a man is transsexualism. A desire to dress like a man could be a whim, fashion to transvestism. I think the man's business suit divests a woman of looking LIKE a woman. It ALSO divests a man of looking like a man, in general. Unless it's slim cut, business suits don't show a man's body. They mask it. Similar "suits" for women cling at the hips, show off the legs, have a tight fitting top. They usually don't divest women of looking like females. I think it's an interesting contrast. The question is WHY?
I like my male weatherman. I don't prefer to look at women. Aaron Taylor-Johnson, lately of Bullet Train, is on the cover of Esquire. That is some nice looking man I prefer to look at. Where do you get this women prefer to look at women. Maybe gay women do. I'm not gay and I prefer to look at men any chance I can get to see a nice looking one. Maybe you're saying "straight men" don't prefer to look at a man's body. I also think that's silly, because if it's an exceptionally fit body, I'd think a straight man could go, hey, maybe I can look like that if I blah blah blah... If I see a woman in a fitness magazine, I might think that about another woman. That's the only time I'm interested in looking at other women's bodies. To compare them with mine and see how I can improve mine. Otherwise, I'm not interested in them.
I grew up in a very religious family. I am very devoted to my faith. My family read and knew the Bible forwards and backwards. Nowhere in the Bible have I ever seen anywhere that it says cross-dressing is a sin. Waman cross dress every day. You wear pants, boots, button up shirts , short coats or jackets, yes? That is cross dressing. So in your reply that cross dressing is a sin, you are commiting a sin., I would advise you to stop wearing male gender attire and go back to the 1950's and wear knee length skirts, dark rights and saddle shoes.
@Melshmallow046 You got me there. I in general do not debate on religion as it can be a touchy subject. I do know it states in Matthew: That asking (praying) for forgiveness and you shall receive. So... of it is considered a sin asking for forgiveness, one shall receive and enter the gates of Heaven
@MotherEarth2020 any sin is forgivable, and there's no one who hasn't sinned. But someone who is truly following God (and is thus saved) will try not to sin. Grace is unlimited but it's not meant to be disposable.
@wolfcat87 it's culturally relative. Robes were not seen as feminine in that culture, but dresses are seen as distinctly feminine is western society today.
@Melshmallow046 this isn't a principle, it's an opinion from the bronze age edited in the dark age to get people who were uneducated to follow leaders who used superstition to hold on to and gain power.

Except all clothing has been for both genders at some point historically. XD
If you call a kilt a skirt you're wrong. If thats where you're going with that.

@Screenwriter Dresses are very comfy, men around the world wear versions of skirts and do not fuss.
I do understand the conveniences associated with men's clothing and their practicality
And I don't negatively judge women who wear pants, sorry if I gave that impression.

Aww wow. I’m sorry. That’s awful.
Not just 'cross-dressing' but role playing fun? Love when she likes to play and be more dominant!!

I have no problem with men cross dressing but not my man, I prefer if he's not into anything feminine. not that I have a problem with feminine guys.
I guess so. Doesn't make a difference to me I suppose. He'd need to wear my clothes though.
As long as he's still willing to be my throne, I'm all good.
Gals can pull off "crossdressing" (if someone wants to call it that) with a fedora and look quite sexy with it.
and kilted men...

My wife has been crossdressing since she was born. She wears pants and tee shirts
I would have no problem to give my girlfriend a shirt if she is at my place but I would never try her stuff.
Fuck no. Maybe if she did it as a statement to prove something I'd support but other than that I need me a lady not a mongoose
If she wears jeans, boots and flannel, fine. If she wears a man's business suit, meh, not so good.
So I guess I would say as long as it is because she feels comfortable in mannish clothes, fine. But if it's to express some desire to be a man, no.

@Screenwriter Because people don't want to look at a man's body...
I certainly LOVE to look at a mans body. Maybe YOU don't!
@Screenwriter Even women generally prefer to look at other women. That is why so many TV weather people are F.
I like my male weatherman. I don't prefer to look at women. Aaron Taylor-Johnson, lately of Bullet Train, is on the cover of Esquire. That is some nice looking man I prefer to look at. A couple of times for jokes is fine. If it’s for real then no lol
Wait lol by jokes i mean like if your boyfriend does it at home with you and you guys have a laugh about it
Hell nah. Turn off !
not even for jokes? Lol it can't be that much of a turn off. Its just messing around no?
crossing dressing is a sin and I will not date anyone who does this for I am a Christian
I grew up in a very religious family. I am very devoted to my faith. My family read and knew the Bible forwards and backwards. "A woman must not wear men’s clothing, nor a man wear women’s clothing, for the Lord your God detests anyone who does this." Deuteronomy 22:5.
Now mind you this is the Old Testament, but the principle arguably still applies.
@Melshmallow046

Everyone in the bible wore robes... DRESSES. If you wear pants or heels, you cross dress. They were made for men.
If a guy wants to crossdress I have no issue with that. But I couldn't date someone who did.
That’s fair
I voted no. If I wanted someone in a dress I'd be banging a chick.
No, as much as it might bother some people, I am the only one who gets to dress like a girl in my relationship.
So shorts trousers, t shirts and vests aren't for men?
Kilts, sarongs, robes, togas, etc.
@Shiprex since when are shorts or tees womenswear?
Definitely not harsh. People can do what they want in their own time, but that's weird and you wouldn't have to accept it.
Honestly i dont know. It depends on how deep the feelings were.
