I get offended when my boyfriend says he wants kids?

I know this is a very immature attitude to have , but I’m a very mentally unhealthy person. I get irritated when my boyfriend says he wants kids because I don’t. I don’t want kids ever. And I’ve been told that’s selfish and all that but to me the world needs a lot right now and more humans isn’t one of them. And I don’t know why he’s so anxious to bring another human being into this world when we haven’t even focused on our love yet. Why is he so anxious to love another human being when our relationship isn’t even stable. That’s what makes me mad/ jealous. I don’t want kids I don’t know how to tell him without hurting him. I don’t know if we should even be together if I don’t want kids and he does

Most of the arguments against people not wanting go have kids is ridiculous. Selfishness in particular isn't a great one, if your boyfriend can't deal with the fact that you dont want kids then thats not a great foundational grounding.

You need to tell him. There is nothing bad in not wanting kids, also nothing bad in wanting kids. You guys just want different things and the sooner you part ways the better, because staying together isn't fair to either of you.

That's a make it or break it in the long haul if he really wants a family with kids and you don't. Perhaps just end it on mutual good terms before any time is wasted for you both.
