Yes, it has. There is no longer enough incentive for men to get married or even be in a committed relationship. The benefits to men have virtually disappeared while the risks and costs have increased significantly. Sex is really the only benefit and that can be had easily enough outside of marriage and commitment. friends with benefits relationships are fine.
That thinking right there is part of the problem... If all you see a relationship as is benefit, risk, and cost... Guess you one those that thinks the first date should be refunded... So women are good for just sex... Yeah ok... Maybe women aren't the problem... More this way if thinking is
This way of thinking is a result of what women have done to marriage and relationships. Men choosing not to accept it is a consequence of the problem, not the problem itself. Denying the source of the problem only perpetuates it.

Have fun getting old and fat and saggy, with no wife, kids or anyone left to care about you.
The problem with people like you is that they don't think about future at all. They think it's so far away from now as if it won't happen, but the truth is you will be 60 before you know it. If we assume you'll live until you're like 90, that is 30+ years of your life left to live. That is the amount you've been living so far. It's a long time... and now is the time to secure that "far away" future, or it will be too late.

I would like to add that single people (men & women) can live great lives being single. They don't need another person to be happy. They don't need to be in a relationship. As a matter of fact, if you want a best friend to get a pet - like a dog or a cat. One great Philosopher said, "I've lived with several Zen Masters. They were all cats."
@little_bird1 Secure what future? The one where I commit my life to someone who is likely to divorce me, take my assets and my children and leave me with a monthly child support obligation? Or is it the one where I work my ass off every day and come home every night to work my ass off even more and look forward to my weekend when I get to work my ass off even more, then start it all over again on Monday? Either one sucks IME. It's not what my father and his father had in marriage, and it's not worth the costs and risks anymore. Today's men put way more into marriage and get way less out of it. Will I be lonely when I'm older? Maybe, but I'll take my chances.
@Brainsbeforebeauty I never said men were perfect or never did anything wrong, but it is not men who have gutted the institution of marriage and and turned it into something so unappealing as it it today.
Oh they played a part... How bout the housewives who didn't work or get an education to take care of the house/family and their husbands thought the cute young secretary a better choice so abandoned their families a lot of times without financial support. And umm children are BOTH parents responsibility regardless, not ONLY if you stay with the mom... Anyone who has to be FORCED to provide for their children shouldn't have any
Again, as I've already said, men are not perfect. Just as man men do stupid shit as women. But it is women who redefined gender relations and marriage, not men. It is women who are responsible for the fact that is it now virtually impossible for a married couple to survive without two incomes, even if they wanted to, and many women do wish they could go back to the way things were before everything got fucked up.
Your comments about both parents being responsible for children are completely beside the point. The issue is that the divorce rate has skyrocketed over the last several decades and it is women who file for divorce in 85% of cases.
But regardless, it doesn't really matter much how we got to where we are now. It is what it is. And the FACT is that marriage is a losing proposition for men now. Men get less out of marriage than they put into it. There is not enough incentive anymore for men to take on the costs and risks of getting married. That's a fact and it's all that matters.

Men have to do ALL the legwork and take ALL the risks against ALL the odds while women are fatter and lazier than ever and just getting worse yet ever the more demanding! NO THANKS!!!

It definitely does feel that way though. Good women are going extinct. All that seems to be left are ignorant children who don't even know what they want.

@NoBob117 The problem is American women have been infantalized to the point where they seem incapable of sensing and analyzing their own internal inclinations without contradicting themselves to oblivion, so they rely on the consensus of their circle of "girlfriends'" to form their own opinions and leave men to decipher what it is they truly want and acting accordingly on their behalf.
