I am specifically interested in this one for now. I feel you are ignoring the importance for a man to provide. Something a women doesn't have the same appreciation for, so no, what's good for the goose is not good for the gander. That would be an empty platitude.

It is simply common sense not to date a woman with a more secure financial income, enough so that she has a house and you don't. Men know the chances of a successful relationship is with a woman whom he can provide her a lifestyle she couldn't achieve on her own. When a man asks a woman, what do you do for a living or how much are you earning, it isn't because he wants to hear she is earning more. Not because of competition or ego but a deeper understanding of the psychology of nuclear relationships. That makes you more attractive to her. I've been in relationships with career women and they are most definitely aspirational but a lot of the time, they're in competition with you. A friend of mine broke up with a woman very similar to my ex after 9 years married and with kids. She had “outgrown him” & “wanted a partner she could learn from” lol I told him that nine years ago lol I told him many times, you need a woman to need you, in the sense, she looks up to you, wants to learn from you, she wants to be protected by you, she wants you to provide some kind of financial insurance that could provide a loving family. Relationships are built off mutual dependency, if you don't have that in a relationship then eventually, you are going to drift apart once the early stages of lust diminish.

I think I subscribe to that one. In my country men who move into women's houses as SO's frequently get thrown out and left with nothing. Safer to stay by yourself if mutual trust is an issue, or at least let her move into yours.
