Plenty of girls on Twitter/Facebook will share memes along the lines of:
What do I call guys with a height that starts with 5? Friends!
Or
When his height starts with 5
It’s still considered socially acceptable for women to do this, in a way that men could not do the opposite.
Sure, there are guys for whom breast or ass size is important, but they would never really write:
If you’re below a D cup don’t bother swiping right
There are plenty of men for whom weight is vital, but they would never write on their OKCupid or Tinder bio:
If you’re more than a dress size 4 we aren’t going to work out
Why? It isn’t socially acceptable, and rightly so. when it comes to a man doing it.
The height thing is particularly unfair as it is something men are unable to change for practical purposes (barring cuban heels which most dislike and agonizing, controversial bone stretching surgery) unlike breast size/weight
I’m not saying men or women should be forced to chose someone despite their personal preferences. What I’m saying is that it’s unpleasant to put that on your dating profile, and yet women can get away with doing it.
Before someone pops up in the comments with “Haha, short man getting angry”, just to burst your bubble, I’m 6′4. So i'm speaking for those that deal with this, because i feel for 'em
When will the height thing stop, girls do you only prefer tall guys?
That second picture literally describes me and every girl I've ever liked...
I know girls like to say "Oh, we aren't really like that" but then exactly confirm all of this by saying, "Oh, as long as he's taller than me," which is the same f*cking bullsh*t unless she's like 5'1" or less or something. It's still height discrimination and telling a guy his value and worth is linked to how high off the ground he is. Saying "Only guys taller than me" is no different at all than saying "only guys six feet and up." I had depression for years because I am merely two inches below the dating ideal for men, which is 6'1" by the way.
At this point though, I've completely given up on dating women. I won't rule them out as friends, but unless I grow taller somehow at age 33, finding a woman who adores me for me, as I am, is not going to happen. It sucks ass dude, but maybe it is better to be alone and short than to be with someone who would treat you like trash if you weren't tall. Some people have called it a "shallowness filter." I hated them for that bullsh*t wishy-washy answer when I was single and alone and desperately seeking love for so long. But now, I realize I don't need a woman to make me happy.
Still hate my height though. Being a mere 180 cm/71 inches f*cking SUUUUUUUUCKS for a lot more than just women. (You know what it's like to be both short and mediocre/trash-tier in the same height? Well, I guess all men 5'8"-5'11" would be there, too.)
Everyone has a sub conscious "type". Height is just one of the most prominent to girls. It makes us feel - feminists get ready: protected and safe. Yup, it's in natural selection, just like how guys like girls with slim waists and big butts, because it shows fertility. Facial symmetry, boobs, guys with big chests and facial hair, height, they all make you look healthier. Strange but true
I simply prefer guys that aren’t shorter than me. I’m not really into the whole super tall thing. I’m only 5’5 so most dudes are taller than me. I’d be willing to date a short guy if I really liked his personality. It’s just a coincidence that my boyfriend is 6’3. I actually hate how tall he is and wish he was a bit shorter.
Height is nice, but as a shorter guy I've found that facial attractiveness, personality and penis size goes a long way. I haven't had much trouble with women. Also, there's no way that the woman in the meme above (Julianne Hough) is 5, 11" .😅 Don't believe all the stupid shit people post online.

Oops, I see that she isn't saying she's 5,11. It's still stupid though. No woman in her right mind would turn down a guy that's 5, 11" unless he's ugly.
I don’t care about height that much I’m tall so I would prefer a guy who’s my height or taller, many have also agreed with me that they don’t want a girl taller than them.
I like a taller/same height guy but I'm also really tall. I prefer taller or the same height. BUT that being said, height is not the most important thing to me and won't cause me to pass someone up.
Its sad tbh. To me it doesn't matter though. My girlfriend is 6'2 and I'm 5'10. Some people are able to look past the heights and focus on the bigger picture.
I am short so I don't find it attractive if the guy is the same height as me. Anyway people have the right to have preferences. If a guy is into a certain physique that I don't have, can't blame him for lack of interest.
I won’t ghost a guy because he’s below 6 foot tall. I’m 5’7 so they should at least be 5’10 and higher for me, I’m a tall girl so I’m not gonna date a short guy.
Not all of us really care about the height but it’s always nice here and there to have someone who’s your own height or a least a bit taller 😂 but yet again I’m not tall nor have gotten taller in a long time so short ones come my way! Haa

i like tall guys make me feel safe and secure but i once dated a short guy too and let me say he was stronger i could feel the secure /safe feeling with him too so i guess it depends of the person
