He invited me over to his place after 2 dates. Should I trust him?

I've been seeing someone for about 3 months now. For our third date we had planned to go out for dinner but because it was cold and raining he said I could go over to his place instead and that we could watch a movie. He also said that we could have some wine.

I got a bit defensive and said that I didn't feel comfortable as we had only met up twice. But I don't think he had bad intentions. About a month after we met he asked if I was keen to go away with him for the weekend. I thought it was rather fast.

I haven't been to his place yet (he hasn't asked since). The other day he said he would like to go away and spend two days with me. I'm not sure what he means exactly.

I do think he's genuine but curious as to why he wants to move fast. He said he'll wait til I'm ready.

What do you think I should do?

Some really enjoy being physical and/or having sex even early in the dating fase. And I have to say that is clearly what he was going for when suggesting to change a dinner date to movie+wine.

I would personally not get away and spend a weekend together with someone I was not ready to have sex with yet. I would definitely feel there would be a pressure for that just with the setting.

It does seem like he wants to move faster than you do, that is just a matter of preference. There will almost always be some difference in this, when one wants to take different steps when dating for it to evolve into a relationship. Sometimes the differences can be too big, you have to decide with yourself if you can deal with this.

You should wait until you're ready. He hasn't known you long enough to earn your trust. Trust comes with time. He does seem to be moving too fast. Don't let him control how fast you move though. There's no reason to rush. If I was in your situation, I would want to take it slower too. You can't enjoy getting to know someone if there's too much pressure on you to move fast. It causes too much stress and anxiety.

I don't trust him sorry. Going away on a weekend, nope. Asking to his house could have been innocent. Weekend away is a strange thing to ask at this point and it is obvious what he wants and what you don't want (yet). The fact you need to ask here shows me you don't really trust him either.

I think you made the right decision in both instances, because it does sound like he is moving to fast. But just be honest with your feelings and tell him you will let him know when you feel more comfortable to hang out at his place or go away for a weekend.

If you think this is taking a really fast pace, you should talk to him about it. Apart from that, you've been together for 3 months... I would personally go for it.
