When you are in a relationship, why do some guys think it’s ok for them to look like a slob when you visit their house by wearing sweat pants, messy look, etc.? (Page 2)

Many women I know do the same. Nothing wrong with being comfortable. That's part of growing closing together to be able to be yourself. If it results in a lack of hygiene that's a different story though.
Maybe for those of you living in feminism. I only do traditional relationships. She looks good... my bank account looks good. I will dress up to go out but in the home... nah.
"you visit their house" lol you're visiting their house, their home, their space.. You get ZERO say in what they wear.. Most women would say that they a woman can wear anything she pleases in her own home.. Same with men. The fact that you feel entitled to bitch about what a man wears in his own home shows a strong lack of maturity.. What if he is sick? What if he does not feel like dressing up? smh.
Lmfao... What girls dress sexy when they're single, then the look like a slob when in a relationship? Like "I must be sexy all-time to attract a man, but now a I got him, I don't need to do it anymore; I mean he likes me for what I am, not for show I dress"
Why do you think it's ok to force guys to meet your standards in their home if a person is comfortable in their clothing let them be it's none of your business if you feel like people need to conform to your standards then your the issue with control problems.
It's not being fake. He is like that when at his home, you could tell him you don't like his clothes tho and see what happens.
If it's not a special occasion or something like that, why would he dress up at home like when he goes out?
But if you mean he looks like a bum in his home clothes, then it's yeah.. he could wear something nicer lol. Maybe he doesn't want you to be wet all the time? 🤔
The same reason women think it's appropriate to walk around in booty shorts and tiny crop tops in public. In fact, it's far more understandable why guys dress comfortable at home than it is for women to dress like 90s hookers in public claiming comfort.

Because they’re in a relationship. The goal is to get to a point where they can’t stop “trying”. You get the girl, then you get to chill out a bit, that’s what they want. Really girls are weird for expecting guys to keep jumping through hoops in perpetuity. I want a partner/friend I can relax around, not someone to play dress-up with.
I don't know. If my girlfriend says she's coming over in a few hours I do make sure my house is tidy and my body is fresh, but if its after 7pm im in one of my many robes. If she just shows up unnanounced thats fine but I'm not gonna get up and clean or change
isn't this just a simple case of the honeymoon period being over and i can assure you women can be just as guilty of not making an effort as time goes by.
first women do the exact same thing. second people try in the beginning because they are trying to attract attention, then after they have got a partner even if its just temporary they feel like they can relax and be themselves more. it gets even worse after marriage
I don't care if they have sweatpants as long as they take care of themselves and the clothing, the place, I don't care if they look messy if they ARE not messy
I don't know bro i think most people would call it growing emotionally close with someone to the point where they are comfortable enough around you to dress casually and know that their partner won't care because they are in love with them but that's just my guess

Amen! I wear sweatpants and my girlfriend doesn't bat an eye... but then, she'll wear worn out clothes, too.

My man looks messy at home and sexily put together in public and I’m fine with that
if we got married I’d want him to wear a tux though.
but otherwise jeans are ok in public
jeans and a nice shirt
Dude I do not change at all when a boyfriend comes over and I swear I go to their house wearing pajamas / sweats more than anything else 😂
Because it’s my house. If there’s I’ve placed I don’t have to meet everyone’s expectations is at My home.

" but why be fake in the beginning trying to look nice if that’s not what they normally do"
Because dating for guys consists have constantly having to pretend we're something we're not.
absofuckinglutely
You should be grateful a man is interested in you at all.
Wearing comfortable clothes isn't a bad thing it's actually taking care of yourself.
What's wrong with dressing comfortable? Especially at their own house, like no one is dressed nice when they are chilling at home.
Why can’t I wear sweatpants if I was visiting my girls house? Further more I can and will wear whatever I want to in my house.
If if I just wanna wear boxers and a robe I will.
