Why do some guys have bad hygiene?

Why don't guys take care of their hygiene and looks like girls do? Is it that they don't care or are not aware that they are gross? I'm not saying ALL THE GUYS, don't get me wrong, but MOST guys from where I am are like this. They don't care about their cloths (if it's dirty, ripped out or not stylish), they don't brush their teeth, trim their beards, take daily showers, clean their ears, do a hair. And they smell bad. They are like animals. I'm pretty sure no girl is into this, but they usually just accept the way they are because they have good personalities and they fuck good. I can't seem to be attracted to these guys. I like stylish men with good hygiene. Why aren't there more guys like that?

It could be all of those things. First, a woman's sense of smell is much stronger than ours are so it is very possible he doesn't notice it. He may simply not care or be lazy. Like personally, I don't care about my clothes at all or what people think of them. To me, they are just clothes and so not important. I don't have to be "stylish" or anything. I don't care AT ALL. Now, I don't wear ripped jeans and things like that either though. Brushing teeth, I can sympathize with. I HATE brushing my teeth with a passion and always have. But they are healthy and I do go to the dentist regularly, but I hate brushing them. I very much have to force myself to do it. I can totally see some guys just not bothering to do it at all or very little. But... having said all this I clean up for my girl and make the effort for her. But I can see single guys just not bothering. I don't sometimes.

I don't think guys are lazy, as much as in many situations, they may be working in an environment where good hygiene is not required for their job.

I worked as a dairy farmer, hog farmer, steel flatbed driver & grain hauler. Each one of those jobs I worked over 55 hours a week, and went home dirty the minute I stepped into the work environment. I often came home from work, took a shower, went to work and be dirty the minute I stepped into the truck. So I could see where men could be depressed or just not care after not working for so long in their own filth.

Some women love the musk and rugged of a man, but to anwser your question if we have to go to the store for something quick we're not gonna jump in the shower and dress up to get a few things we need and go bk home. Also short hair dosnt need much ATTENTION and sometimes we just forget to trim the beard or some just let it grow before we cut it as our facial hair grows in cycles (mine primary fills out in 3 days so i cut on the night of the 3rd and be clean for 2 days if i dont i have to shave it every day)

First, the exact same thing applies to women as well. The reason this happens is because people let it happen. People will always be as bad and lazy as they can get away with. The only reason guys would care about their looks is to attract women, but if they can still get laid either way they will default to the easier path. Lots of women do the same thing. Men need to have confidence, ambitions, and lots of resources to get a women the me who have poor hygiene are kicking back on having and great car, and lots of money. Some are lazy, some are depressed, some just went shopping after hitting the gym, some are dirt poor... could be a lot of reasons.

For the upkeep, it would be hundreds of dollars that I don't have to try to look good for women who wouldn't talk to me anyway. I'd rather pay bills or get a place as opposed to having new crisp clothes that I feel uncomfortable in just to get nasty comments (who does he think he IS?)

I don't know what % of guys don't take care of themselves but I feel its rather low from what I've seen.
although there was this guy at the dollar store the other day , he worked cash and when for some reason he had to face my way and near me , think he was trying to get debit machine to work ad his breath was absolutely horrible and unbearable to breathe , like buy a pack of mints , there only a $1

Well it depends at the atmosphere where you are living. If you are living on a country side where most of the guys are farmers you can expect that thing from them because they have to spending most of the time with cattles and stuff so they dont care that much.

I used to obsess over hygiene and fashion when I was younger. Now I dont really care too much. I brush my teeth twice a day and shower every day after work.
