Why do women never message first?

I don't want to sound big headed but I'm an above average guy. I receive over 40-50 likes on tinder/day. Thing is girls I match with barely ever take the initiative and message me first, but I regularly get an enthusiastic response when I message them first. I'm getting tired of starting conversations all the time.

Well. That’s Tinder for you. Women get 3-10x more matches than most guys, they don’t really have to do much. They just sit and wait because many guys are quick to get in touch.
