Best example I can give.
Almost perfect relationship between two people. Attraction, desire, love, trust... moving forward, planing a family and set goals for the future together. Both feel like being "soulmates"...
Person A makes a mistake, tries out cocaine at a befriended bachelor party...
addiction slowly develops and breaks this bond over time.
So if he she was "the one and only soulmate" that wouldn't have happend and so it wasn't the one?
"The one" would be the person with whom you evolve past the male/female games. Stick together through hard times (or even better dont have those), create a family or choose not to, because you both have goals together and want to travel the world...
I voted C. I believe in soulmates, but I just think they're so unlikely as to not be worth waiting or looking for.
