Omg. That's awful. I'm sorry you experienced that. I'll be honest and say I have seen LOTS of women use men and it's sickening. We are not all victims and perfect angels. It just sucks the double standard society has. I honestly feel like if a woman is willing to do that, they should get the same backlash that a man would.
I can honestly say I would love it if a female approached me and I think a lot of other guys would feel the same.
I myself would probably act awkwardly like she was only coming over to me to tell me I was in her view of something better, or something like that and I'd probably stutter or my voice would probably come out very quietly, either way she'd probably just walk away.
I wouldn't think any of those if a girl asked me out, I would be a bit confused since I haven't seen it before but I would most likely say yes, but I would want to pay for things in the relationship even though I didn't ask the girl out.
I don't arbitrarily dislike it, but so far it has only happened when the woman is either drunk or very clearly just looking for sex, neither of which will win me over.
Well I don't drink and I'm looking for an actual relationship. I know it gets annoying if someone approaches you and within 5 mins, they start talking about sex.
Do not worry about what guys will think for you asking first. The ones who are uncomfortable with it are weak and not worth your time. Personally I love it when women are comfortable going for what they want.
Explain to me why the guy has to ask the woman out first. Isn't that line of thinking anachronistic and outdated. Also, so à guy liking you means he shouldn't be shy or have a fear or rejection etc. I had no idea that having a Y chromosome made you fearless.
well said! Lol! Women definitely need to stop expecting guys to make the first move. Social norms are nothing but toxicity. It hurts a lot of guys self esteem because they might feel like they're not attractive when really, women are refusing to make the first move and expecting them to do it instead. Men are humans too. We have feelings too. Let's divide the responsibility in the dating world between both sexes.
Shit, can I go out with you? Because fuck what anyone thinks I find that attitude pleasant enough to be around. I think that will catch men off guard and I think you'll find some success in this.
A woman making the first move would be refreshing and welcoming for most guys. It also removes the fear that some guys have of being #metoo. I had woman once call me sexist because I opened the door for her.
I think it'd be cool if a woman approached me. It would show I have someone interested in me. If you feel you want to pursue or approach a guy, don't think twice. You can do it!
yes! and in the end, even if you do kindly reject her, her effort to make the first move and show interest will boost your self esteem and make you feel good in a sense and if you tell her that it made you feel good then you'll both feel good from the situation.
Women dont aproach men bc they dont know how to, then make up excuses that we will call them sluts, like wtf? But then these same girls have no problem sleeping around with random guys that pay them couple of drinks at the bar, nice bullshitters.
She's a girl that knows what she wants and doesn't let the opportunity pass her by. Altho it's a bit aggressive and masculine but either way, you either happen to life or life happens to you.
If in a club or bar, or at a social gathering like a group hike or such, I would be happy about it. If random on the street, especially if she was young and attractive, I would suspect a scam.

I did, I had a woman approach me once. Turns out she was only using me while her actual boyfriend was in jail. I found out, and dumped her

Probably some guys here will say that it's okay and they would love that. But that's literally bullshit.
If a guy really likes you, he isn't going to wait for you to approach him first.

"If a guy really likes you, he isn't going to wait for you to approach him first."
He could be really shy or think she's not interested. In either case he won't approach her first.
When I was single, back when dinosaurs roamed the earth, I would have LOVED it if a girl asked me out once in a while!
well said! Lol!

Most of my girlfriends from my past asked me out, and I loved it every time and I always said “yes”.
I do hear girls can get rejected though, so good luck

I'd be flattered, even if I wasn't interested in her.

Times have changed, society has a bunch of bs unspoken quirks. I'm a equal opportunist
and all for women making first moves.

I wouldn’t mind personally , I just welcome the conversation if I’m genuinely interested

Times have changed, so should women. Approach! Most guys would love it. I would.
Guys want you girls to show interest, and yes, ask us out!
It's honestly not that big of a deal.
No, we're not going to think you're a slut! Not at all.
Just go for it. :)
yes! I agree!!1
Thanks
