The idea of feminism is one definition but yet people have their own versions of what it truly means. Women who support feminism is like any other group for the homosexuals or like the BLM. Sometimes it can be taken to far and ruin a good thing. Like a woman that puts in her dating profile that she is not a maid that cleans up after her man and will not do his laundry are always going to make every guy not want to talk to her. Now yes it is important that a woman shouldn't be expected to clean up after the guy or do is laundry but it is the lady's profile into such a negative light. She is already bringing a negative vibe into play before ever talking to the guy. When a guy holds a for open for the lady it should be because he wants to not because it is expected of him by a feminist society. I don't always open the car door for any girl riding with me unless I am already on that side of the car. It just makes the lady wait longer for me to walk around the car to open and close the door and longer to walk back around to my side to get in the car. There is a certain level of romance that needs to be incorporated into a relationship to show chivalry is not dead. I do agree that relationships are no where equal between the man and woman but it is not always the man that is being unfair. Some women think that is a man asks you out that he should always pay and the man always thinks that he entitled to some ass for paying for dinner. They are incorrect on both accounts. A woman doesn't need to start dating with what she expects from a guy based on feminism. I dated a girl that would get upset at the mere mention of men being better than women then I had to hear the whole thing about how men only want women barefoot pregnant and in the kitchen. I got so tired of being beat over the head with that when she felt like I was being bossy. She kept saying you aren't my dad so stop telling me what to do. I wasn't barking commands I was just making a statement. When a woman comes into dating with a view of what she thinks she is owed then it is doomed from the beginning as that is such a huge turn off. When the man is already pegged for being chauvinist, superior, lazy, sex fiend by women and not given the chance then yeah not going to work. I am not looking to be superior to a woman in any way and definitely not looking for a woman who thinks and feels superior to me because that is never going to work. When I am in a relationship I pull my hair share of the weight and I expect the same 50% pull from my partner. I spent a week with a girl that I just met and I cooked and cleaned up and cleaned the dishes and she said that she felt lost because she had never been with a guy that cleaned up after himself. I don't expect anyone to look after me. I don't expect anyone to do my laundry. I handle all the yardwork and car maintenance. It isn't because that is what is perceived to be a man's duty but because I am really good at it and it gives me a satisfying feeling of having a well kept yard and well maintenanced vehicles. I open doors, pay for dinner, hold hands, watch romance movies because that is what I want to do with a lady not because that is what is expected from a feminist point of view.

The short answer is that it is argued that feminism has only made men and women afraid of each other.

The long answer is: feminism seems to be a fear mongering tactic for women that, because of the patriarchy, men are conspiring against women to make their lives miserable and it leaves them with the feeling of being gang-stalked.

Now that feminist ideology has become the dominant culture, must people subconsciously think that no matter what happens in a situation between a man and a woman, it's always the man's fault. This lead to the creation of the Duluth model where this kind of thinking is ingrained in the police force and they are trained to arrest the man in any domestic dispute. Not to mention any man who is accused of a violent crime against a woman will have his life ruined by the court of public opinion even if he was found innocent.

The combination of women who drank the feminist kool-aid that are scared out of their mind that a man will feel entitled to be violent with her and men who are afraid of a woman accusing him of something he would never wish upon anyone is what is ruining dating.

Or the feminism of today, which divides men and women, takes every opportunity to paint men as assholes and fools and seeks "equality" by dragging men down as low as possible?

Modern feminism has attempted to destroy the family, turn men into women and women into men, redefine masculinity and femininity and essentially destroy all of what made romance and courtship between men and women mysterious, magical and delicious... and worthwhile. Everything except sex, which is essentially all that remains between men and women.

@mslivy... i am sorry to say, even if i dont agree with a lot of what @AFellowWeeb has say or his aproach... that the definition of 'slut' is quite universal amongst men... we dont like women with promiscuous past... and that count a lot if you are thinking in something serious.

Well you can't club a girl over the head and drag her home with you anymore, so that's made things a lot more complicated and difficult. Used to be easy to find a wife, back when all you had to do was purchase her from her dad and her opinion didn't matter because she wasn't allowed to have one. Men were talking, you see. :p

Because female hypergamy has become so high, and left unchecked for so long, that feminism has completely ruined dating. Women want this and want that, but if men also want something they are a chauvinist pig. Also, womens standards have gotten so high now. Feminism turned men into beta males, but women still subconsciously want alphas, so its 80% of women wanting 20% of guys while the rest die alone.
