Well... there is still the chance that it could be a person who gets no attention from their opposite gender but they genuinely find you to be attractive and want to be with you and they are hoping that they have a chance with you since you are the opposite gender they are probably also quite nervous if they have only experienced cold shoulders so far... so they might be extra excited if you are the first to actually accept them I suppose?

Just don't assume things based on a persons situation, give everyone a chance and get to know them, I know I would date someone if we both liked each other but they got no attention from the opposite gender, no reason to judge but also a bonus if you think about it, no need to worry about someone taking your partner ^_^
