Also, I think there's some semantics to be aware of. Like how "Nice Guy™" has taken on a meaning of its own. Same with "Strong Independent Woman™". Like, there are plenty of guys who happen to be genuinely nice, but "Nice Guy™" refers to guys who are in fact NOT VERY NICE AT ALL. By that same token, there are women who possess the quality of a strong will and who have more of an independent outlook than average. But those women are different to what we conceptualise as the stereotypical "Strong Independent Woman Who Don't Need No Man™". Such a woman is actually very fragile and dependent on what men think, but she overcompensates by acting like men are beneath her, perhaps coz she's deeply afraid of being "unlovable" or who-knows-what. So women reading this shouldn't get the wrong idea that men have a problem with women who aren't these dependent and frail little creatures. I think all things considered it's better to be reasonably strong and reasonably capable of independence, than it is to be weak to the point of hopeless dependence on other people. But the same is true when we talk about the difference between a decent man and a Nice Guy™. It's probably better to be nice in most situations than it is to be mean. So when women say they hate Nice Guys™, it doesn't mean they hate male kindness intrinsically. It just means they know "fake niceness" from a mile away. Just like men can smell "fake independence" and "fake strength" from a mile away. If everyone just gets out their fucking egos for five minutes, and is AUTHENTICALLY nice, AUTHENTICALLY strong, and AUTHENTICALLY independent (while valuing other people in an interdependent framework of mutual respect and admiration)... Then the world would be a much better place, and this ridiculous pitting of "men vs women" will evaporate overnight.

No there's nothing wrong with that at all. It's more the fact that they feel the need to let everybody know. There's no need to announce it. The reason they do is because they've had bad experiences with the opposite sex, which often has to do with their own behaviour, they're damaged/bitter.
