+1 yI personally don't only want guys over 6 ft. But here's something that could be the reason why some women do.
The taller the guy the more physically bigger he is. Given how nature works, this implies they are probably stronger. Women like this stuff. It makes us feel more womenly. Apparently taller guys tend to be more dominant but I dont know how true this is. Historically, size was an important determinant of male status. Physical superiority I think is what it's called. 🤔
Taller people are perceived as more competent, authoritative, intelligent, dominant, and having better leadership qualities. Such height-dependent perceptions may then contribute to the increased dominance of taller individuals if shorter individuals act on their perceptions, and treat those who are taller as more competent, authoritative, and dominant than they are.
Height may also affect how people perceive themselves, and so influence behaviour (which as noted, in part reflects how other people treat them). For instance, taller individuals, particularly taller men, have higher levels of self-esteem than shorter individuals and are more likely to see themselves as leaders, which may result in taller individuals displaying more self-confidence in social interactions. Even children recognize that size plays a role in dominance contests, and there is evidence to suggest that taller individuals win more contests/confrontations during childhood and young adulthood than shorter individuals.
Even among animals, larger males are usually more likely to win fights from smaller males, which leads to higher social rank and increased social dominance, and, consequently, increased access to females.40 Reply

+1 yNot really sure why but I know my own answer. I'm 5'3.5" I'm pretty short for an American?🤷🏻♀️ but most of the guys I've in a relationship with or dated has always been 5'10" - 6'7" (I call them GIANTS). My reason why I date them because I used them to my benefits. Why? Because most of the damn time I can't reach nor see. For example, going shopping or to the store... my short ass can not reach the top shelf. It's either I asked for help or climb on the shelves to get whatever I needed (most of the time no one is around). Second, DISNEYLAND!!! I can not see where im going so I use my guy for my eyes to see how far we are when it comes to destinations. Third, I use them as my shade when it's too sunny and hot because I can get a heat stroke easily and sunburn easily. Last, I get to wear heels to be a little tall and be close to the height of my dude.

+1 yI don't think they do and if a woman has strict rules about the height of the men they date then either they are tall themselves and insecure or deeply shallow. There are people out there both me and women, who only have shallow love to offer which is based on looks and or attributes they find attractive to boost their own ego. True feelings aren't based solely on how one looks. Stay away from girls who only speak about the physical attributes.

Anonymous(30-35)+1 yI don’t. My current boyfriend is only a few inches taller than me and I’m perfectly fine with it.
I dated a guy once who was 6’4 and I’m 5’2 and my neck would constantly hurt from having to look up and he said his neck and back hurt from looking down all the time. It may seem cute to have such a height difference but in the end, we both were straining.20 Reply
Anonymous(30-35)+1 yExcuse me. Don't overgeneralize women. Not all women "only" want guys over 6 feet tall. My boyfriend is 5'6" and I'm 5'4" but I think at least he's taller than me, I wasn't going to be too picky. I used to aspire to being with a tall man, but now I just take the reality as it comes my way. To me, height isn't more important than qualities such as thoughtfulness, being a gentleman, etc.

Anonymous(25-29)+1 yI don't know why this is a thing, height shouldn't be a massive factor when finding a partner. Most women would like to be with a male who is taller than her, that's due to nature and the innate behaviours of females. However that doesn't mean the male has to be 6ft. I'm 5ft4 so being with someone who is 6ft would make me look even shorter... No thank you.

+1 yNice generalization. I guess I'm not considered a woman since my fiancé is 5'8 and I'm 5'7. So no, not ALL women only want a man who is over 6 feet tall.
10 ReplyI don’t think all women want to date men 5ft and above I’m really small and I like my partners reaching for things for me. My mom’s talk my dad’s not So there are women who prefer men who aren’t 6ft
00 ReplyThe impression of feeling protected especially when the guy is taller. I'm 5"3 so to me 6ft would feel ideal. I wear heels so it would be perfect to wear heels and not be taller than the guy.

Anyways, the guys i have encountered are mostly taller than me so height isn't a major problem for me
Yes. Why not? Are you actually asking if women do not want guys under 6 feet tall?

+1 yI don't care how tall a guy is, as long as he has a decent length between his legs.
I had a play a play friend who was a dwarf and was 4'5", but packed a cannon in his tighty whities... always a good time in bed with him.00 Reply
+1 yI didn't understand this at first either, though it was bc they wanted tall kids, but a guy told me bc the taller the guy the larger the p**is

Not necessarily. I've been with guys who are 5'10" and 5'6" their man parts seemed to be about the same. In addition, it's more important that they know how to use their man parts. If a man has large man part but can't satisfy his partner, it doesn't matter how big it is, it'll be just a decoration.
Because I'm 5'11" and quickly got tired of motor boating jokes.
Insecure short guys are just more grief than its worth.00 Reply
+1 yNot all women but generally women want tall men for obvious biological reasons, like why do men like shorter women?

00 Reply Some women do. But I've seen women dating guys of the same height or shorter than them. Hell, two of my exes were the same height as me.
