Asked guy when I could see him again and it’s been over a day and he hasn’t responded... Is this a bad sign?

So we’ve actually gone out a few times now and each time he’s super into me and even messaging after we say how much we enjoy seeing each other. There have been times in the past where he takes a day or more to respond to a message... the last time I saw him on Friday we had a great time, and so Sunday night I messaged him asking him when I’d get to come see him again, and now it is Tuesday morning and he has yet to respond. I know the beginning of the week days he’s busier but he’s been online so I know he has seen my message even if it doesn’t show as “read”... Now I’m feeling bummed because I really thought he felt something too.

Exact same happened to me a few weeks ago. (And same with many of my girlfriends, all the time). I got worried and doubted myself. Was even planning on double texting him to just be straight up honest and say no if he didn't want to see me instead of not responding. A few hours later (1.5 days after I sent the text) he responded that he would have loved to see me but that he was out of town to study for exams and was gonna text me when he was back. And he did, but 3 weeks after.

I have learned that guys put zero effort in texting compared to many girls and they don’t see not responding in a day as something that negative. I don’t think they realize how insecure it makes many girls though.

I had the same as you- we had such a great time together the last time we saw each other and he was super affectionate. Then he takes 1.5 days to respond to my question of when we could meet the next time. Of course I got worried and started overthinking. Especially as I need to find some courage when I ask a guy when/if he wants to meet again.

I’m just gonna try and think of texting as nothing, it has zero value. Otherwise I will always overthink.

Considering that he's been online after you sent the message, I'm going to assume he's not that interested.

It's a red flag if a guy takes more than a day to contact me or to respond to me. People check their phones, when they wake up, when they go to the bathroom, when they eat, and before they sleep. No one is too busy to send a quick text.

If you wrote this "There have been times in the past where he takes a day or more to respond to a message." It's not as consistent as you think it was.

He responded and asked to see me tonight. I guess I’m not sure, he inconsistency is what’s making me apprehensive. Some days he’d respond right away and others days. But yeah we hang out for hours and talk about whatever. I’m not sure what deep is? But we talk about anything, maybe I could try to get deeper tonight and see.

Ok. Great. I usually have a two day rule but he responded so that's good news. I still think the late responses are fishy. None the less, maybe you could tell him you'd like a little more consistency. If it doesn't bother you, then I'd let it be.

many people do NOT live on social media... try a phone call... he may not see that message for days...
