Yes, PetSmart has become a place I'll stop by every now and then just to see if I can flirt and pick someone up.

I own no pets besides fish. I hate indoor cats, they disgust me, and when people call their animals fur-babies my first thought is, yeah, if that dog learned to talk and ask for things you'd scream in horror. But I do like dogs a lot, favorite pet, toy fox terriers, I love the little guys, so much fun. Back on topic.

Anyway, aging is something we all do, and I noticed that many women who have passed the midpoint of their 20's begin stockpiling on animals like many men stockpile on guns or cars that have no function. For the most part the women who go to PetSmart are single, see someone interesting, and go to the puppies and kittens. No matter what you do at pet-smart, if you go alone, at some point you are looking at pets.

This presents a golden opportunity as now you're both looking at pets, can talk about past ones, the topic is neutral, but allows them to open up, it's easy, public place, no online interrogation BS, and as long as you buy something, no one cares. Whatever way it ends, it makes for some pleasant conversation. It also isn't strange to be buying things for your pets on a regular basis.

The single women with a lot of pets tend to have low self esteem and are easy, like not to get in bed with, things just flow easily and without much BS for the most part. So yeah, I'll date a woman with pets, befriend the animals, it's like befriending her kids with no comprehension, a limited lifespan, and far less in the way of needs.

Hate me or whatever, I just pay attention and go with the flow of what is simple and works. I noticed it from several girlfriends and thought this happens too often to be coincidence. Some women that are my type will shop there and be easy to approach.

How many of your pets and pet related items did you get from there (or the equivalent in your area) as opposed to Amazon? Just out of curiosity.

seeing I am an animal lover freak HECK to the YES! I would go for a girl who has or can handle a Husky or interesting and Unique 1 of a kind breed like they are !:) I had my baby boy for 13 years it takes a pretty unique person to be able to have the patience and love to care for animals with high intense lifestyles. If she can handle that , would be a good chance she would be able to keep up with me in the ravish and satisfaction area !~ Plus girls that like animals and pets pretty much has a good heart ! GOAL

I once dated a girl with a snake (boa type).

we were lying in her bed one night and I commented that her snake (urrgh) must be hiding in his tank thing.

no she says, he’s in the house some place hiding.

5 minutes later I was out of her house driving away, she was dumped quickly.

When my wife first met me, I had eight cats (well, I had three, then I let in a fourth and turned out she was pregnant with fifth to eighth...). She comes from an orthodox family (but was wise enough to forsake that ugly inhumane world of filthy religion) and orthodox hate pets (yeah, that's how revolting they are), so it was her first time exposed to a house with a cat, and it was eight cats all at once... At first she was shocked (literally, she froze and had a very distressed look inbher face) but within a week they were her children as much as mine. Today we have 11 cats altogether and we take care of a couple dozen foster kittens per year (whenever possible).

Why am I bothering with this story? Because many people who think they wouldn't date a pet person simply have no idea how beautifully awesome it is :) So don't worry about it.

I would date such a girl:
1. If the pet is well trained and controlled and not something exotic that should instead be left in the wild.
2. If she understood that I hate the idea of pets being indoors and sleeping on the same bed as a human.
3. If she loves me more than she does the pet.

Yes I don't see pets as an issue at all as long as they aren't some extreme exotic pet like a monkey or spider. In your case, I think most people wouldn't mind a cat.

I am deathly allergic to cats and rabbits. But as a person I find a woman who has animals more attractive because it signifies a yearning to nurture and care for something. I'm the same way with animals.

honestly it depends and it depends if the person actually takes care of the pet by vacuuming all the hair every where emptying the litter box some people get pet's but don't take the responsibility that goes with it that being said if she takes care of her pet sure why not

I've never had a dog before, so if someone had a big one, then I'd be scared, but would still probably date them - no, I don't hate dogs, before anyone gets all offended.

A cat is fine.

In general though, I'm not wild about the idea of a partner kissing their pet on the mouth or letting it lick their face, seems gross.

Depends on the pet. Generally I like animals. I draw the line at venomous animals and anything that looks like a worm or maggot (exception: Butterfly larva). I also won't sleep in the same room with anything big enough to eat me.

Unless it's a pet to be afraid of, I don't see the issue. However I would prefer if no dogs where involved. I don't want a relationship with a dog. I simply think they are annoying and demanding. Cats I just love so they would just be a bonus.

I would, but TBH, I’m not used to cats nor dogs. If that is a pet fish, rabbit or any other animal, I would love to take care of them, but I wouldn’t date them just because they have a pet, I would date them because of their love!
