My friends acting weird what should I do?

Im 30yrs old me and my friend Had been sleeping together on and off for 1.5 years now but in between and before that we’ve remained good friends we’ve still hung out. we hadn’t slept with each other in 10 months.. now we’ve moved opposite each other we’ve slept with each other a bit. He’s now acting weird. He has a girlfriend I suggested the other night my friends have told me to cool it off and I said they had a point. Straight away he replies yeah we should stop I wasn’t really expecting it since he had spent the whole weekend at mine cuddling me in bed etc. Since we’ve had that chat he’s not speaking to me like he used too he’s been so distant. I don’t want this to ruin our friendship which is why I put the feelers out to stop what we are doing. Him and his girlfriend have argued over me. The main point is I don’t want to loose a friend , I also felt myself falling for him a bit. Should I just leave him and carry on doing my own thing and see if he comes around?

The first thing you need to do is stop living a lie. You do not sleep with people that are friends. They are either a friend, or they aren't. If you were the girlfriend, how would you feel about a boyfriend doing this?

Well I feel like we are friends when I first met him I didn’t sleep with him. We can still hang out and do things he’s stayed round when we aren’t sleeping with each other and it’s just been like hanging out with a friend.

U didn't want to destroy your friendship yet you let things get complicated then told him essentially what the both off you was doing is wrong and thought things would just go back to normal?

I kind of thought since we’ve always been fine doing that before it would be okay because we can hang out and get along without sleeping with each other

Once the relationship changes rarely does it go back to how it was before

I’m not sure what to do now. I knew we shouldn’t of blurred the lines again. It was me stopping it before.

But this isnthe thing i dont get clearly u didn't care to sleep with him when he had a partner already so why then stop it to say its bad making him feel u 2 fucked up and now he has to sort it out surly if u guys are gonna be assholes u do it and live with it over doing it then saying we are bad no?

We’d been friends and slept together before her , he’s only recently became official with her. I didn’t mean for it to happen this has only happened the last two weeks hence why I’ve stopped it. Before he used to say things sometimes like do you think we will ever be together I’d always tell him no. It’s just confusing but if he really cared he would be acting distant like this now

Kind of yes kind of no. I guess whatever happens happens. I just know this isn’t a good situation.

Yeah I think we get on we’ve both always thought what if but maybe know it would end up in us not being friends if it all went wrong. I feel bad for what we did. But he’s only had a girlfriend the last two weeks I won’t be doing it again.

I get that but cheating is still cheating more so on his part as he actully is the cheater but u did allow it to happen further making a issue of you being friends with him whilst he is in a relationship

I don’t agree with it and I regret doing it without a doubt. The actual reason I’ve always been like no we wouldn’t be together is the fact I don’t think he’s capable of being faithful
