Guy disappeared off the face of earth after 2 dates and over a week of daily texting. What gives?

I've been talking to this guy for over a week on a daily basis (met on tinder, he's 26, I'm 25). We went on 2 dates which went decently well. Although, I should mention, he was 30 minutes late to the first date. Both dates resulted in him texting me within 20 minutes of the date asking me how I think it went. He typically either responded right away or within a few hours. The day before he ghosted me, he texted me a bit less and I addressed this by asking him why. He said he was busy and a very inconsistent texter, but that he still wants to talk to me. I didn't think much of it especially since he was always keen on telling me we should hang out again. We decided to plan on something yesterday, but never got around to setting up a time. I texted him yesterday morning, and twice at 5/6 pm. Didn't get a response. Then I called him to see what was going on.. still no response. Texted him again to see why he decided to ghost me... and no response. After multiple attempts at trying to contact him, he never got back to me. It doesn't make sense since his most recent text message was "I'm always looking forward to seeing you." Not once did he imply that he wasn't interested. Checked my tinder and it looks like he deleted his profile as well. I ended up calling him a few more times and never once got a response.

Anyway, I spent the night bawling and could barely get any sleep because I kept thinking I did something wrong, am not attractive or have an awful personality. Why do you think this happened?
