Have you ever been referred to as "damaged goods"?

Aren't we all? I would say when some one is too damaged is when they are self destructive and have no intention of trying to fix the problem. Promiscuity is hugely damaging to a person, but if a woman realized this and worked on herself and stopped, I would not hold her past against her because she has actively changed who she is for the better. Same goes for people with trauma, I have nothing but sympathy for people with emotional trauma BUT I'm not going to endanger myself if they refuse to fix it. Trying to "save" some one is like trying to help a drowning person, the moment you get in the water with them all they are going to do is drag you down with them. They need to actively be working to better themselves and fix the problem before I would take a chance with them.

So every one is damaged to some degree or another but only if they refuse to try and get better and fix themselves would I consider that person to be "damaged goods" and avoid them.

Hmmm, this is an interesting question people consider someone damaged in my assumption of your definition is "crazy" or belligerent behaviour. Not that someone would have STD's and now has to pick someone from a smaller group of partners. Men don't realize with women that have been in an unhealthy relationship will have sub-conscious reactions. It's like if a dog bites you, you will have adverse reactions. Depends how bad it was, is how bad the reaction will be. If you have continuous, negative interactions with men certain behaviours will trigger negative reactions. That's why I specialize in healing, I understand the whole picture where few know what I mean.

I hate that expression. I once thought of myself as a damaged person. I never thought I would be good enough for somebody to love me.
People are not things. They are complex beings that have feelings, memories and emotions. Just because a girl has been raped or abused or had a string of bad relationships does not mean that she is somehow incapable of being loved and loving somebody back in return.

I don't use those words but if she did something that makes it so zero quality guys would ever want to date or marry her that's fits. For example, if she had 3 kids and did porn for a living... the number of quality guys she could get is zero because those guys don't want to be in that situation.
