Is it okay for me to hangout with a guy who’s my friend, without telling my boyfriend?

One of my friends is going through a tough time right now, he’s been losing a lot of his friends and i feel really bad. He asked me if he could come pick me up and we’d go for a drive for only less than an hour just to talk because he needs someone there for him. My boyfriend is at work and I forgot to tell him, he’s also super controlling when it comes to me even talking to my guy friends. But I just need to be there for a friend, i’m wondering if it’s okay for me to go without telling him?

If you are going to hide stuff... then just break up. That is shady. That is being a bad girlfriend.

Also, you two might not be compatible so a break up may be inevitable. If he doesn't really care for you having close, intimate male friends and you go spend one on one, alone time, friend dates with other men and don't tell him then you two don't sound like a good match.

The actual concern is not the supporting A friend, it’s the fact you have a jealous and controlling boyfriend.

these are the people you pretty much never date or get in to relationships with ever.

I would be really looking at how to drop kick your current boyfriend, sorry if you like him but that type of guy sucks.

Do what you want, but I think you should tell your boyfriend before you do anything with the platonic friend. You never cause problems by telling people of your plans in advance.

No. Why would you be afraid to tell your boyfriend? Are you cheating on him with the other guy? You should be able to trust your boyfriend enough to tell him about the other guy, unless you are cheating on him with the other guy……..🤷🏻‍♂️
