I don't by it, though I can understand why some woman go out of thier way to avoid attracting male attention by dressing down and not wearing makeup. My girlfriend came from a community where woman had no rights and we're sexualized rather than respected, so most people didn't notice how drop dead gorgeous she was from first glance because she pulled off effort into looking that way. When she did get gussied up though she could have been on any kind of photo shoot modeling lingerie or cosmetics that you can imagine. So giving her upbringing I can see why she would want to avoid people knowing how beautiful she actually was. As far as a woman wanting a man to be unatractive, I don't know, because my girlfriend enjoyed showing me off to other ladies to make them envious, and I never objected, because I always figured she saw something in me that they didn't, but some ladies actually did. She enjoyed showing off a dish that only she could snack on and enjoy at her leisure while putting effort into avoiding the reverse of that situation from happening, because being desired for her, was a scary experience, unless it was me that was desiring her. She encouraged that!
