How bad was lying about my age when I was underage?

I'm now 24 but during my HS years, I used to be attracted to college guys ages 20-25. I was 16 at the time but looked older. I didn't like the guys in my school.

I would purposely hang out in college campuses and drive my mother's car. I borrowed my older sister's (she was 23 at the time) used college books and materials to make it look like I'm from college. I told two guys I was 20 years old. I got ditched when they found out though; they blocked me so fast, told me to never contact them again.

I felt like an adult at the time. I acted and looked older. How bad was lying about my age back then?

Even though I would've had no problems telling the cops that I've lied about my age. At the time, I was only attracted to older guys, not boys my age.
