Last time we saw each other two weeks ago, I thought ”wow finally this never ending on and off thing is getting more serious” since he expressed he liked me, and treated me like a girlfriend around his best friends in public, and we were all having lots of fun.

Although he has a busy schedule and we didn't meet so frequently before, I thought this would mean we would meet more often. But nope. No initiative to meet since then, and no text from his own intiative.

This is so rude, because I’m in love with him, and it was clear, I thought, that he also had feelings. But now, I don’t know. Can guys just shut off although they like a girl? Did he change his mind completely or what could have happened here?

he's not into you. Your just wasting your time. If he was into you he's spend a lot of time with you and talk to you often.
