I thought he liked me, what happened?

So I had a crush on this guy. I told my friend, so against my knowledge she went & told him. He said he liked me too, gave her his number to give me & told me to hit him up. Right after that whole ordeal he got up to get off the school bus (where this all took place) and said bye, smiled at me and gave me this type of hand shake. I texted him that night, we talked for a few hours when he just stopped texting me in the middle of twenty questions. A few days later I called & he didn't pick up nor return my phone call. My friend asked me about him a few days later & I told her what he did. She texted him & asked him what was up, he said "girls hit me up" & told her to tell me to hit his phone. I never did.

He's a shy guy, but extreamly nice. Everyone that knew him & that I told about the situation were shocked because they all agreed he wasn't the type of guy to pull a stunt like that. He's a sweet heart.

So why did he do me like that? Should I text him & try to talk to him cause I do like him? Or should I leave him alone? Was he shy? Or just busy & forgot about me? What's his deal?

If I was you I'd leave it be and stop wasting my time. His comment about "girls hit me up" makes him seem cocky and not in a good way. It sounds like he's a player and girls flock to him or he thinks he can get girls. If he was truly interested in you he would try to talk to you whenever he could, regardless if you text him first. You're young, let them chase you instead of you chasing them. There's plenty of guys out there.

I think that you should definetely try and talk to him again. Maybe he became unsure about the thing, but if he asked you to "hit him up" again, then I suggest you definetely do it. Take a chance, because you don't really have anything to lose.
