I can't be friends with someone who has the heart to cheat other people. But I believe everybody deserves a second chance.
So first, I'd ask Amanda to come clean with Rob. I'd tell her to either break up with him because she likes that other guy, or else tell him that she cheated on him and then let him decide.
If she agrees and I sense a genuine desire in her to leave the past behind and move ahead with Rob, I'd have a talk with Rob after she tells him and I'd try to explain to him who Amanda really is and how a good person too does mistakes but chooses to be defined not by the mistake but by confessing to it and repenting for it. And how forgiving her would define his character more than hers. Then whatever Rob decides, one thing's for sure - I and Amanda would remain friends and maybe our friendship could even get stronger.
If she doesn't agree, then I'd just break things off with her and tell Rob everything myself, alongwith my opinion that she can't be trusted. Then whatever Rob decides, one thing's for sure - I and Amanda would not remain friends anymore.
