After my marriage ended i met this amazing girl and we both ended up falling in love for each other. We were 100% real and told each other the good and bad. She protects me and cares for me like no other girl has ever done. Im currently in the academy. Should i just become a cop or an instructor? Im asking because i got the offer at the academy due to my sweat and hard work. Should i play safe or not?

I would want for my SO to achieve his goals and dreams, and if it was dangerous then I’d nag him to be careful lol, but I wouldn’t stop him.
My dad is a police officer and he became one after the fact that he met my mom and they had one of my two older brothers... she did care and worry for his safety obviously, but she trusted that he would be careful with his life so he could come home to them everyday. Which he still does thankfully. So as long as you guys are on the same page, it shouldn’t be a problem.

Your photo says security enforcement officer? what academy let's you walk around dress like that and with a full on beard? & if they wanna offer you to be an instructor they'd have you finish T. O program probation, then put you as a instructor it's not always the movies where they pull you out of academy to be a secret detective like Chicago PD or the movie Departed and etc.

I'd also be extremely careful about posting stuff like this and calling yourself in LE training just because you got a guard card baton and guard card weapon certifications, because if a real police academy you apply into or a real agency that actually offer in house academy's your background investigator will probably chew you out and then send you a thanks but no thanks letter of a firm DQ (disqualification) so u better get right

I got trained by Blackwater Agency do a little research and well my instructor just suggested me to consider his field of work that is all. Im no superman or want to impress anyone. Just needed to clear my mind on a decision ill need to make soon in my career. Yes i work to pay my bills for a company that does executive protection, security, bodyguard, ETC. I do have my credentials and like i said don't need haters just answers to decide for the future of my family.

Instructor, id rather deal with education instead of babysitting adults that are irresponsible and dangerous. She can't protect you, you're supposed to make sure she is protected and feels safe. Some women have miscarriages without the leadership, and protection of a man present.

Do what you love, if you want to take the opportunity I am sure you could come back to the field if you decide that it was not for you.

In the end you can ask her and from what you say she seems to value you as you are now. I am sure she would not mind you remaining as a cop so in the end it will be your choice.

Women are attracted to the man you are, not the one you become by listening to their fears. This is probably a very common mistake. If you want this to last, your only course of action is to be completely honest with yourself and follow that. She needs to be with the real you, not one that limits himself or disregards his dreams to fit her desires. If you deviate in any way from your truth, this relationship will fail 100%.

If I were in your shoes, I be an instructor. Especially if your area is a warzone. If it is a calm village and area being a cop would be cool. You can reach detective. Your job is risky yes, but if it's your dream follow it. There are plenty police men that have wifes and families and all and still risk their life.

As of right now i got trained by Blackwater Agency in Florida and did some time in Spain too and got licensed to be security, executive protection, bodyguard, investigator, and instructor in Florida. Getting into the police this year in Georgia
