This is a very recent experience for me. She said, "I don't know what you mean by date, we don't know each other."
I am under the impression that you get to know someone while dating, and I was just stating my intentions were non-platonic. It seems, and not just from this example, that many adults do not know the difference between dating and being in a relationship.
Same experiences bro. They say I don't know you though. And honestly I think it's their paradigm but I also think if I was the perfect looking guy aka their perfect perfect type their asses would say yes. But yeah I tell them the same thing. I want to take you okay to get to know you that is the point of the date.
I think we are on the same page but I don't mean officially a couple I just meaning dating as in going out of date and seeing if we are right for one another
Lame 😒 sorry guys.
Obviously your intentions were clear. It’s true I’d be surprised if a stranger ashes me to date but I wouldn’t play dumb snd if you know someone even a little you can as you say date and get to know each other better. At least you knew up front not to bother with these dopes 😂
I gotten a few yes's
I got a few no's
I have gotten are you kidding me. No fucking way
And saving the best for last
One slapped me in the face and told me to fuck off.
Sure I have gotten many forms of no. That did not stop me from trying
How do you get slapped in the face on the internet?
@supercutebutt I never did. I ASK in person. I am not for computer dating
Oh. This question is asking who has ever asked to go on a date with someone? Won't that be like 100% of people?
@exitseven thats right. But the one I married is the one thats ask me out
@exitseven oh there is and I have shared that story on here. You just have to dig to my past questions, replies, and MyTakes to find the answer.
@exitseven well have fun digging
@exitseven and a lot of them
@exitseven yes and know. I still have it, but a tree fell though the shed and crushed in the roof of the truck. It needs a new truck cab
So not driveable
@exitseven Vivant alerts must be going though the roof. Lets talk in PM
I did that when I was drunk on New Year’s Eve with my ex. He said yes, but I remember him being shocked because I rejected him months before that
Ehhhh lol
Yeah, told me no. They wanted a god fearing woman.

As a man, unless the woman totally thinks I'm HOT, such a direct approach will seem creepy. Works better to make some small talk, then express an interest.
If a woman approached me and said she would like to date me, I would be a little surprised, but receptive after the surprise wore off.
I lost a good friend because of that. There wasn't even a friendzone after that. She just broke all communication with me because "the situation is too weird". All because I once told her that I might have a crush on her and that I would like to take her on a date.
Well, I did say some form of that to where it was obvious I wanted to date her. As to how well it went, well, it didn’t go so well. I basically got ignored, which I’ve tried to reason as to why but that’s kind of a long story.
Okay
Vivant I've never specifically said that to anyone. I've just asked people for a date. But it's kind of intriguing statement and in the right circumstance might work.
🙋♂️😀
It depends if you already know the person or not I can't go to stranger and say I would date you.
No , lol although people say it indirectly but mean same but it gives time to other person to react or decide
Well this isn't a dating site so I am not sure if anyone did say that and if at all they must have done so in private messaging.
She mentioned something about having to cross an ocean first...
Don't cross it. It's a trap. Can you swim? Just hold tight man. I got a boat.
Yeah, and Vivant flat out turned me down. 😟😥
hahahaha teasing you, my admired friend.
My immediate thought to this question was to make that silly joke. I should have added a serious answer though.
Yes, I've asked quite a few girls on dates. I think I usually said something like "Would you like to go out sometime?" or "Would you like to go for out dinner one of these days?" Something like that.
I may have been turned down once or twice, but it was usually something diplomatic like
I have a boyfriend.".
It was always in a one on one setting with someone I had met before. I wasn't into picking up complete strangers at clubs or places like that.
And it was all pre-internet and smart phones, so it was assumed that a date meant simply getting to know each other.
I ask someone on a date because I am looking for a girlfriend and find them attractive. I don't do it for the sake of just going on a date with someone.
A first date is when you decide if you want to go on another one. A date doesn't imply any commitment. It's just a get to know you kind of thing.
If you both decide to keep dating, you learn even more about each other. If you don't feel a connection, you stop dating.
Hopefully, at some point early on, you decide to date each other exclusively. And things go on from there.
Does that make sense?
Sure of course no commitment for a date, I just know serial daters lol. As in one date- daters. Like they get bored one night so they go on a date. I don’t think I could not do that. Even if it’s just a date I feel and obligation to take someone seriously as a potential something. So I don’t even go on a singing date if I can’t imagine dating them or if I am not ready to date period. of course I will hang out with someone I don’t intend to date not so stoned people are not forthcoming with what Rudy want. Not my fault there tho.
It worked out bad cause she already had a guy at the time so I felt like a hill
I have a few times. Most of them said no but some said yes.
Yeah XD still didn't ever really work out
Isn't that the same thing as asking someone out on a date, only in different words?
I see what you're saying, though I would express it differently. Asking someone to go "out on A date" is straight forward enough. But if I had already gone on a few dates with someone and now wanted to date "only" them, I would put it more succinctly. For example, " I want to date you and only you" or " I want us to be exclusive". Then, I'd hope she wanted that too !
I've never asked a girl to be exclusive with me if I didn't already know she wanted to be. There were a few I wanted to be that way with, but I knew they didn't. Asking them to might have pushed them away altogether.
I've told someone "I would like to fuck you", but not "I would like to date you".
Looking back I should apply this direct approach picking hints is tough 🥺
I have literally never said that. 0 point to relationships.
Some people want to be single. I’m one of those people.
It’s really not that big of a deal.
Sharing myself? What am I cheese dip?
I just ask them out. It's the same thing.
Every time it has been no
@Jessica405 I would like to date you 😋
I am flattered, truly. I am well and truly taken. 😢
@Jessica405
