Is it wrong to ask my boyfriend for money?

So I was just seeing if he'd give me $1500 for something. He said I need to work for it and he can't pay for everything and that he knows I'm struggling. I'm gonna get it just asking could I get it from him.

Well it depends why you need it. Does your boyfriend have a good Job and salary?
I think if you have a serious problem and you really need that money and he doesn’t help when he has the money OFC I want to say it’s not a good sign he isn’t helping..
if your problem can wait it’s not that serious then maybe that’s why he isn’t helping.
He is just your boyfriend at the end of the day. Not your husband.
But my overall suggestion , if the guy you are dating never ever pays anything than you might reconsider to never settle with a typical joe , try to be with an affluent man a gentleman.. you are the female you will have kids and stuff you need a real man.

It's fees for another job I'm trying to pursue. It requires so much. He has over $90k. He helped with other stuff. I'll just work this other job to try and save even though it doesn't pay much.

$1500 is a lot of money. Are you asking for him to loan it to you or just give it to you. I think that if you just want him to give it to you and not expect to get paid back that's a little too much to expect him to just hand over

Never borrow money from people really close to you. It adds a very strange dynamic. And if you don't intend to pay it back, then you are in it for the money. Don't make your relationship about money. It will change it in ways you won't like.

I get the sense your intentions are good but trust me its a mine field. You say you want to pay it back, and you truly mean that. But it may take a while, he is wondering, maybe wants to ask about, you start feeling bad its taking so long, the relationship starts to take a strange turn to have a flavor of lender and borrower. You may tell yourself its all good and he is okay with it, but he actually may not be... its just injects weirdness into a relationship. Again I would tell you to avoid taking or borrowing money from people you are very close to. It changes things. The only exception I would say is your parents... who already have been paying for you for a lifetime and parents always want to help out their kids if they can - that is different. But close friends, the guy you want to have a romantic relationship with... keep money out of it or be prepared for shit to happen that you don't like.
