Please let him know that his attractiveness is a little threatening to you and at times it makes you feel a little uneasy about your ownself infront of someone.
Make him sit next to you, talk to him about your insecurities in detail, when did you first feel them, how they affect you on daily basis, how you don't come about it because it might seem a little silly at times to feel it, how much you want him and how much you want him to take care of your insecurities and how much you'll respect and care for his deepest insecurities.
I'm very hopeful that a deep meaningful conversation , lasting over an hour or so, will really help both of you to know a few subtle things about each other's thought process.

See first of all if a personal is giving you respect only coz the way you looks, then you should need to change ur friends circle. Treating everyone wid respect that what i have been taught and that what i try to do.
Maybe you are overthinhking that people are not treating you respectfully coz you have been more concerned that your boyfriend is getting more attention than you.
Maybe it’s because he comes off as more friendly? My boyfriend comes off as more friendly than I do and more people are open to talk to him. It’s just how it goes.

he might be more approachable than you are, do you initiate any conversations when your out or does your boyfriend initate all the conversations first?
Honestly it sounds like they are showing you respect because they address him first since he's the leader, once he gives his approval and makes sure its safe you can join in.
